Don’t recommend anyone to stay in this house. We booked the room for 2 adults and 1 child. When we arrived, we were given a room for 2 people so we asked for an extra bed (which is mentioned on their page on Booking.com). But they said that they didn’t have extra beds in the hotel at all. So they offered us a very small room instead of a bed. Nobody said a word that we would have to pay for it. But during check out we got a bill for 2 DOUBLE rooms! Not for an extra bed. Also credit cards are not accepted in this hotel. Only cash A host of this hotel was rude. He yelled at us, threatened to call the police and didn’t answer Booking.com calls. I consider this place unsafe for tourists as the host is deliberately deceiving clients. Please avoid it.
I Stayed for one night during a stopover. The service was very good but a little difficult because I don't speak French or Malagasy and the staff I dealt with didn't understand English very well. Using our phones we were able to communicate and they helped with all my enquiries. The room I stayed in was very big with a balcony, it was clean and I had a very good sleep. I'm not really sure what the surrounding area is like as I didn't go out, but I would stay here again during a stopover.
We were due to start an eleven day tour in Madagascar but were arriving late into Antananarivo two days before it started. We booked Iarimbato due to the price and we're really happy with what we found. We were about an hour late on arrival but our hotel transfer was still waiting for us and we're really friendly. The hotel room was small but adequate, we were so tired we didn't mind. The next day we ventured out of the hotel but as we weren't familiar with the country or where to go we didn't go very far and found that we preferred to stay within the hotel which was fine as they had a lovely pool and we were able to relax by it for the day whilst drinking cocktails and eating. The staff were very pleasant throughout our stay, especially when beers are $2 for 650mls!
We have booked during the Francophonie event for 3 nights and have given our CVV number of the credit card. They have confirmed our booking by return email. The day of our booking we called to confirm our arrival a little bit later. We then discovered that the booking was not respected from their side, probably they have sold the rooms !!!. Communication extremely difficult on the phone, their person on the phone was not aware of anything and no one wants to drive just to go there as they are far from city centre. Very much inconvenienced as during Francophonie there is no available accommodation through out Tana. They handled us unprofessionally so very negative feelings towards them!
