I was there with 2 friends of mine. The weather was perfect so we decided to go on a horse riding. It was really exciting. One and a half hours on a horse, going up and down, crossing rivers. The food is also great, there is free coffee of tea. The backpackers room is just fine for budget travellers

Amazing place this is. Set in the mountains of Lesotho surrounded by Basotho villages. The sunrises where spectacular every morning that I was there. We were treated to huge english breakfasts every morning and pretty good dinners at night.

Having written a review and seen the management response I feel I must reply. Firstly, my review was not written on the basis of the weather, it was solely on our experiences at the establishment, as I'm sure anyone reading it will realize. Management however are choosing to miss the point and steer the complaint in another direction. The reason...

After a long difficult journey, we arrived at the hotel at 5.15pm. Lesotho had just had their worst snowfall in 20yrs, and so not only was it bitterly cold, there were snowdrifts, and rock slides. Upon arrival, we were met by the manager Alex. The first thing he told us was that they only provided electricity between 5-10pm, so if...

I am so sorry you did not like the Ramabanta Trading Post at all . We have reacted to the points you brought up & I can assure you they are being attended to & improved. Unfortunately travelling & arriving in the worst weather possible did not help with your impression of the place. I also want to state that...

We came to see the snow and stayed two nights here. We brought our own fire food and this was a good thing. There are self catering units, we stayed in a four sleeper. There are electric blankets, the electricity is on 5-10pm and 6-8am. The staff are very friendly and drinks can be bought from the bar. We had...

I am so glad you found a cosy place to stay when travelling in Lesotho after the heaviest snowfall in years ! Snow & cold brings challenges & I am pleased the staff were able to help you enjoy a comfortable stay & we look forward to you returning one day soon, perhaps in the summer.

This is really the place to stay if you are in the area. We felt at home from the time we arrived until we left. The accommodation is modern and comfortable and the food is of a high quality. The location is good with a great view from the lawns. We will definitely come back

We loved staying here for a weekend. Great value for money, beautiful surroundings, really nice horse rides going through local villages. Very good access by road -Semokong waterfalls 1 and a half hours away. Limited electricity (only five hours in the afternoons), so pack warm clothes. Amazing sky for stargazing!

I am so glad you enjoyed your stay at the Ramabanta Trading Post, a truly special place. The horses are hired from the local villagers so going for a trek helps the community too. Thank you for taking the time to write a review.

Overlooking the mountains sits this lovely lodge with comfortable, pretty rooms ( actually, we had a suite of rooms) decorated with local art. We enjoyed the hospitality of the manager + staff + went on walks with local guides. We especially enjoyed our visit to a local women's knitting cooperative graciously escorted by the lodge manager. He was very knowledgeable...

Arrived here on a motorbike trip through Lesotho. Stayed only one night, wished we had more time. Camped. Lovely camp site, great views, great facilities (braai, kitchen area) and clean hot showers. Friendly staff, cold beer and lovely views. Would return soon!
