I stayed one week at this hotel before moving up the hill to the Avani Lesotho. There were a few things I actually preferred about Avani Maseru, although Avani Lesotho is overall a better hotel and the gym itself was worth the move. Good things about the Avani Maseru: big rooms, great water pressure in the shower, nice people, very... More

The hotel gives an impression of being a professional and comfortable establishment, but it's not really more than average. The rooms are ok, but the service is not that good and they can't make coffee to save their lives. In the bar they managed to get our order wrong several times and the girl working in the gift shop seemed... More

The swimming pool arrangements for this hotel have recently changed and public members using the pool area are now charged an entrance fee. Whether they're accompanying their young children to swim, to have a meal at the our door/pool-side restaurant or a game at the tennis courts. So; whether you're going there to swim or not, you pay. The situation... More

Upon arrival we were met with loud music at reception. The conference hall on the premises turns into a night club on Fridays. There were blood stains on the pavement which we were informed by a cleaner that a fight broke out between a man and a woman and the woman then stabbed the man with a beer bottle. Then... More

What a disappointment to say the least. We were greeted by drunk patrons coming out of a nightclub located at reception floor level. Service was poor and staff were uninterested in booking us in. To compound matters the hotel had no water and guests were given water in buckets!

This is definitely a last resort type of hotel. I was forced to stay over at the Avani as our regular hotel was fully booked. The Avani had tons of space and I can see why. It not been attended to since the 70's or at least that what felt like. While the staff are trying their best and front... More

I got quite a few apologies during my three night stay at the Avani. When I asked for the WHO conference room, I was misdirected to the Stanbic Bank conference room. When I got the computer vouchers, they didn't work. When I called room service, some of the items were available, and some weren't. In its favor: the breakfasts are... More

I have stayed at this facility many times before - largely because it close to UN House. I seen it transition from one management to another. There are clearly teething transition challenges, but factor remains constant - and that is the friendliness of the staff from Front Office Manager to porters. I always appreciate this on every visit. The room... More

It was a last minute booking and our regular place was full, Rooms old, setup and decor not great, rooms dark and our filled, we managed to stay for 30 min before checking in at the Lesotho sun. No real parking and I certainly can't recommend a stay. A definite no return visit

I stayed here for business and have to say the food is really good, it won me on that alone. The rooms are reasonable, bathroom is the let down as it's a be old in true sense it has a bath shower combo, however beds are comfy and room is clean, the noise levels are low. Service is good from... More
