A solid 3-3.5 star hotel, it has everything you need for a functional stay in Accra. With a restaurant serving delicious Ghanaian food with continental offerings and a bar with Illy coffee, you can have a mix of local foods and some of the comforts of home during your stay. There’s a foreign exchange desk on-site in the lobby which was handy. The staff were especially kind and went out of their way to accommodate needs and requests. The property won’t blow you away but it won’t disappoint. There was a fair bit of renovation and maintenance work being undertaken at the hotel and on the property (one may suspect it will improve its value and appeal).

I attended a conference together with colleagues and we all stayed at the Accra City Hotel. Staff is friendly and rooms are clean. Breakfast is diverse and offers an ample choice of dishes, including local fruits (much appreciated).

Loved this hotel. We stayed her 2 nights and a third at the end of our trip. The friendliest people in the world are here. The staff was amazing and the buffets had just about everything you could want. The rooms were very comfortable and the hotel had a foreign exchange desk that was super convenient since each day we exchanged more money since the exchange and shopping was great. Highly recommend the African Arts Center for shopping, they do have an ATM and a DHL for shipping large items.

This trip has been memorable for all the wrong reasons. My room 635 did not have any coat hangers or a remote tv device. Took a shower on arrival and flooded the bathroom as the shower drain was blocked. An engineer appeared and stated that he would unblock the drain. The following day I took a shower in the morning and again the whole place flooded. Reception confirmed that they would change my room. I ordered room service in my newly allocated room; Accra special chicken kebabs with joloff rice. The food was cold. The food was taken away and microwaved. The ‘ newly presented ‘ food was dry and shrivelled. I did eat as much as I could as a I was now feeling exhausted. The only plus is that the staff are incredible. How can the management justify such inadequacies. You are not just letting your customers down but also your amazing committed and proud staff.

The hotel has been for years a great place that became old and older and has been for too long really in need of a serious make up and not renovation the way it has been going on for soooo many months with yet no improvements at all. Yes the pool arrangements with the Movenpick is great but the building extension has been under construction for too long, one of the lift is not any longer working and needs to be used by the staff so .... what about clients ?? The management and its financial team need to become serious about this. Enough is enough. The staff is great and always has a great attitude but they just cannot anymore compensate for the mess around. Good bye and good luck for the future

Thank you so Sir, but please not that everything needs time and that we do our best at this stage. Right now Lifts are getting changed, so brand new ones will be installed and the Pool needs 3 more month......sometimes I wish magic could help! Thanks!
