We stayed at the hostel and cannot recommend it enough. It is clean, comfortable and has an amazing breakfast. The staff are terrific especially Hasaan!! We met him at the bar the first night and instantly felt connected! He took us on a tour of Accra that was interesting and really fun! On top of all that, he is an amazing traditional African dancer. Go and enjoy!!

Good hostal. Lizzy, who works there, is a super generous person and employee and the hostal should do everything possible to keep her. Great place to stay. Just think that the hostal should make information available like restaurants in the neighborhood.

I stayed at Somewhere Nice for the first time in 2019, came back in 2020 on another trip and it will continue to be my first choice when coming to Accra. It is one of the most convenient hostels I have stayed in anywhere, having air-conditioned rooms, including a (big and delicious) breakfast, and super helpful and friendly staff (yes I had to remind about my laundry once, but it's not a five star hotel and I didn't mind reminding them). Moreover it is in a prime location of Accra. Kokomlemle is not known to be a tourist hotspot, but is a super convenient and chilled location and I'm glad I got to know it more during my stay. Looking at how bad traffic in Accra can get, the proximity to Kaneshie, from where you can get almost any mode of transport to travel through the entire country, is worth gold. It's also relatively close to Osu, which is nice for shopping or eating. The street has lots of options to get Ghanaian food, have something fixed by the seamstresses along the street or to go nice One Corner Garden for dinner. I appreciated the security person and the entrance code at the door, although I felt very safe in the area. 9 years ago, there was not a single backpacker hostel in Accra and the accomodation available was nowhere near as comfortable, nor was it nice, nor well-priced. Those saying the price is expensive should please check real estate prices in Accra - it is one of the most expensive cities on the continent!!! Having air-condition, running (warm) water, a clean room and bed, space and such good service is RARE in Ghana for that price. Please do not compare it to London or Copenhagen hostels. Tourism in Ghana is on a different level, which is why it is so nice and exciting to travel here.

This was the second time I stayed for two weeks in somewhere nice and again I enjoyed it very much. Very friendly people running the hostel, great breakfast, big rooms with airconditioning and fan (I stayed in a room with a double bed and private bathroom), nice garden with small pool. The hostel is in the middle of a lively residential area with street kitchens, fruitsellers, small kiosks, etc. Easy to get around by taxi. It is a simple place, but excellent for researchers such as myself, who don't have a big budget and who prefer to hear and see life in Accra.

We stayed two nights at “Somewhere Nice” in a private double room. A perfect place to stay in Accra! Reasonably priced, simple but stylish, clean and super friendly! This was our first visit to Ghana so everything was new to us. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere at “Somewhere Nice”. Having breakfast around the big kitchen table made it easy to speak to other fellow travellers. We felt very safe in the area too. We ate great food at the nearby restaurant “One Corner” just a 10 minutes walk from the hostel. In fact we even went by foot to Oxford street and to the Jamestown Lighthouse. Obviously during the day of course! After travelling around at the coast we later came back to Accra and stayed one night at a fancy boutique hotel close to Oxford street. In fact we were a bit sad that we didn’t book “Somewhere Nice” for that night too…
