Unfortunately, I recently received news that Caspar Guest House is no longer open. I friend tried to visit Caspar only to find the doors closed and no one in sight. Very sorry to see this friendly guesthouse closed.

The room we had was overpriced at $100 USD. I had asked the landlady previous to checking if the A/C was working well and she had advised me that it was. My stay was during the rainy season and I found the humidity more intolerable than during my previous visit during Harmattan 2008. I had to relocate to another hotel...

Caspar is a friendly, comfortable and clean guest house located in a convenient area of Accra. Along with the pleasant rooms and good food, there is a parrot to greet you in the morning and a cold beer waiting after a long day's work. I definitely recommend the carrot soup which is delicious! Last summer I stayed at Caspar for...

The Caspar House was recommended to me and a colleague when we planned to go to Accra for business purposes. Before the trip we were a bit concerned about the fact that it is not a hotel with a pool but a bed-and-breakfast place with a limited number of rooms. After a stay at the Caspar House for a week,...

On my return trip to Accra, I wanted to stay somewhere other than the Osu district. I focused on the North Ridge and Asylum Down districts. With the rave reviews that I saw on Trip Advisor for Caspar Guest House, I thought I would give it a shot. While the area that the guest house is situated in is very...

The place to go if you are a business traveller and on your first trip to Accra - especially when you are German and would like to speak your mother tongue. Rooms are nice and spacious. Good thing: The air condition does not blow on your bed so you may sleep well with air condition on without getting a cold....

if you're a button-down corporate type who likes to stay holed up in your room, caspar guest house isn't for you. but if you love eccentricity and people, this is the place to stay. gisela, the owner, runs the guest house like an african version of an english country house -- breakfast whenever you want it, an honor system at...

Casper House is a great place to stay. We stayed in their self catering chalet for 6 months whilst working in Accra. Its based in North Ridge - a leafy suburb of Accra. Although its just a 10 minute taxi ride to both the tourist and business centres of Accra - Casper House is a peaceful oasis within the hot...
