Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Service at the front desk and dining room were unacceptably poor. The staff at the front desk appeared unhappy and acted as if they didn't want to be bothered. It took 90 minutes to get served in the dining room even after repeated inquiries about my order. The room was clean; however, we consistently asked for towels for two people in the room. Most times, there were insufficient towels in the room. I cannot recommend this hotel nor would I stay there again. This hotel is in dire need of training and education on how to provide professional customer service.

I Enjoyed my stay at the hotel, the service was good and the staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. The breakfast had a variety of food, making it easy to choose.
Just like every other hotel it had some flaws, 1. The water was cold (So I had to shower with cold water for 7 days). 2 The bed was as hard as concrete floor (I would sleep half the night on the bed and the other half on the couch)

After much research we chose this hotel because it had a pool/garden and was in the right location. The rooms and bathroom were a good size with usual business hotel features and it was comfortable and clean. The staff were pleasant. The laundry service is cheap and worth using. Less pleasant features were that the pool was dark green and then closed for treatment. Clearly had been left far too long without maintenance. The four loungers were all broken. The breakfast which had both asian and european options was always cold. The fridge was broken and smelly. Had to unplug the light to get a power point. Only one bath towel in the double room so had to ask for another but this happened often. We had a pleasant stay but probably would not go back.

We stayed in a friend’s place in Accra but we come here almost every night for drinks. Sitting by the pool with ice cold beer just relaxes the nerves. The staff is really good, and accommodating to our needs. He right away combines two tables for us, (we’re a group of 8) and even sets up the anti-mosquito thing. Wide range of drinks at the bar which are reasonably priced.
We also tried the Chinese Restaurant and their food is really good. I enjoyed the seafood thick soup, the prawn noodles, the fish with tofu (I forgot what it’s called) and the fried squid.
The ordering system though needs to be improved as they use an iPad but the numbers on it doesn’t match the ones on the book menu. It’s a bit of struggle, even for the staff. It would also have been better if another ipad is available just to make it quicker for bigger groups maybe.

I'd initially planned on staying at a different hotel but got convinced by a colleague to try out this hotel. I never regretted that decision!
The reception at the hotel the night I checked in was really cordial and quite courteous. Thanks Dosia (I hope I spelt her name correctly). The rooms are quite airy and tastefully furnished. And the view from the balcony was amazing; I always looked forward to sitting there at the end of the day.
I'll definitely be coming back here in the nearest future!

I checked in late at night after flying in from Johannesburg. The hotel is 5 min drive from the airport and the lobby looked old and tired with just 2 three-seater settees. There was a sign on the wall indicating that it is a 3 star hotel. The carpet along the corridor leading to my room at the far end was clearly well worn even under the dim light. The remote control in my room did not work at first and the porter had to fiddle with the batteries before it was able to power on the air conditioner. The display was in Chinese and it did not show any temperature. Any attempt to change the temperature setting was futile. The bed was rock hard and I felt as if I was sleeping on a wooden plank. in fact I had a sleepless night and promptly checked out the first thing in the morning even though I was booked for 2 nites in this filthy hotel. Everything made of metal in the room was rusty. There was rust in the kettle spout, soap tray, gully trap, door knob and basin. The bed sheet was too short for the bed and the top part of the mattress was exposed. The shower cap had a hole in it. The door of the shower cubicle was stained and obviously left uncleaned after the last guests had left. There was powder on the wooden door of the bathroom. There was a palm print on the wall of the room. Breakfast was of no consolation. The bacon looked rancid and there was nothing but fats. The only appetizing dish was the fried noodles. To add insult to injury, the staff came to my breakfast table and told us that we were not entitled to breakfast that morning thinking that we had just checked in. It took some clarification before someone else came to apologise for the gaffe. There are many other hotels in the vicinity. It is not worth saving money to stay in this hotel which is worse than 1 star. it doesn't deserve any star at all!

worst ever hotel to stay in .. in terms of amenities and room service. free breakfast is at the time and mercy of what and when the chef comes , and that also would be delivered only to your room . you dont get the choise of what you want in it. - Being a chinese hotel with a Chinese restaurant, mostly you get chicken and fried rice or noodles as breakfast, unless you really really go down from your room to meet the chef and explain you need ..
rooms are nice, but then one can stay much cheaper in an AirBNB .. with the amount they charge,

If this purported Chinese Plaza hotel had their own way, they would mount a sign at the entrance that read 'Chinese only'. Ghana is such a free country so much so that anyone can waltz in and pretty much do whatever they well darn, please. How can a manager run a hotel and refuse to speak a word of English? I encountered rudeness at its highest form at this hotel for patronizing their badminton court. Many thanks to the Ghanaian workers who insist on apologizing on their behave. However, they don't care because you are neither Chinese nor their target market. Thus, this is a Plaza hotel by Chinese for Chinese Only. Your patronage would definitely NOT be welcomed, smiled and or talked to because you ain't Chinese and hence don't deserve their respect and equal services?
Ghana Tourism board ought to be reviewing these hotels regularly in order to insist on the owner(s) to roll out sensitivity and common sense training for their workers. This hotel has managed to tarnish the good image I had had of Chinese people as they remain and continue to be disrespectful, evasive and nasty.
I have hence boycotted this China hotel for Chinese ONLY!
