Lovely boutique hotel in Accra, I stayed there in 2013 and returned recently. Everything was perfect: room, breakfast, overall dining, service, etc. Everyone at the hotel was so lovely and accommodating. We arranged a tour to Cape Coast one day, and the driver was very professional and kind. The front desk staff, dining room personnel, and housekeepers did everything to make sure we were happy and pampered.

Another fantastic stay at Villa Monticello. The service levels are amazing, so friendly and efficient. Breakfasts were good as always, the wifi works well, and the driver we had for the day was also excellent. Love this hotel.

On this trip most of my meetings were in the airport vicinity so I decided to stay close. Checked TripAdvisor and Villa Monticello came up. I gave them a call while on the way to airport in Lagos and the Gentleman who took my call -Emmanuel Offei was extremely professional and handled my reservation like a Pro. Within minutes I received my reservation complete with airport pick up! On arrival the front desk did not disappoint. Probably the warmest welcome I have received at any hotel. The room was fantastic and my only disappointment was I was here on business and staying for only one night! The AC was SUPER, bed was just right! Food was OK, could do with a few tweaks however overall good. They have wonderful outdoor spaces (too hot for me, so I prefer inside). Breakfast was interesting same as my comment on the food. They even gave me a souvenir when leaving. Big up to the Villa Monticello crew, good job!

After having looked around for a nice place to have a solem dinner for my husbands birthday we finally settled for Villa Monticello. It was a Friday I booked and we went there on time. We were the only ones having dinner at the time . The waitress was friendly she offered what she could although she was not sure of some cocktail contents when we asked her. We ordered a fish platter which she assured us was enough for the two of us. When the food was about to be set she brought us hot brown towels to cleanse our hands... I ask her why brown and she told us the guests in past did not like white so the brown is was was chosen. Brown I think is not the correct color we are about the eat but how clean is this towel??? When the platter came it was all fried , seafood and fish but all fried and coated... the waiteress could have told us at that time of the night you definitely do not need that much grease in your body. So we ordered oxtail and rice to go rather. When we got home shock horror !! there was one hugmangous oxtail peice that had some sauce the could barely cover a quarter of the oxtail....... I was very disappointed and I am not sure I would recommend this place for a dinning experience. I was definitely left with a lot questions if the night out was even worth it at Villa Monticello 😕

It was my first time in Ghana and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Villa Monticello. I'll cut to the chase here. This boutique hotel of 16 rooms has a very "home-y" vibe. Because of its size and the warmness of the staff, you'd come to fell quire comfortable very quickly. Each room is themed and the details seem to match that theme. I can only intimately speak for my room, but I walked by some other rooms during my stay and caught glimpses of totally different and cool furnishings. My room (Out of Africa) was very pleasant with a copper tub that overlooked the hotel patio and an open themed bathroom where the standing shower, sink & toilet were. The shower head was about the size Guam and is probably the reason I spent so much time in there. Blissful. I'd also like to note that strategic placement of outlets near the edge of the bed with usb capability for international travelers. Super helpful. Outside of the room the hotel has a restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating and a small gym. Nothing major in the gym, but more than enough to get a good workout in. The food on the other hand was amazing though. Make sure you get the Accra breakfast if you decide to go. I guarantee you'll have it twice. Other things to note is the central location around the "Airport Residential Area," close to food, shops, city venues and the mall. The intangible beauty was that the staff knew you immediately. I was taken back when a crew member I had yet to meet greeted me by my first name. On the contrary, I would've liked to see more recommendations of things to do and places to go curated by the team. Would've truly made me feel at home and with family. That being said my overall perspective on this place is very high. A+ from me.
