We stayed at the Urbano Hotel for a couple of nights with our tour group and it checked off all of the necessity boxes (e.g., Clean, safe and convenient location). However, despite having several floors, the hotel does not have an elevator.
The hotel has security that guards the front door and monitors the property.
The lobby area is small with only a few seats.
Raphic acted as not only a front desk agent, but also an excellent teacher who taught us common phrases in Twi (local language used in Accra) that we could use during our time in Accra. Raphic was extremely professional, helpful in providing suggestions on how to best explore the area and took pride in sharing knowledge about Ghana.
The restaurant that is connected to the lobby is slightly bigger than the lobby and has a reasonably-priced menu (there is another eating space with food service connected to the hotel). Other than the very limited breakfast buffet, food service took at least 30 minutes (regardless of what was ordered). Recommend ordering at least 30-45 minutes before ready to eat (especially if there is more than one person). Evans, our waiter on most days, was courteous and professional.
The rooms vary in size based on the room type selected. Recommend requesting a different room if the assigned room is too compact.
The hotel location is in walking distance to various restaurants (the desserts at Chocolate Sarayi were tasty), shopping stalls, banks and places to get groceries.

The hotel staff were very pleasant and attentive. Additionally, they arranged for a hotel airport shuttle which was very appreciated. The location is good, with easy access to the airport, as well as the main areas of Accra.
The room was small and basic, but no complaints. The housekeeping staff were kind, and the room was always clean. There's 24/7 security and someone is always available to assist with any requests.

Stayed at Urbano Hotel with a group of friends for 2 nights. Great location for nearby shops, ATM, and restaurants, no taxi required. Used the hotel service for an airport transfer too. Hotel staff were very friendly and was always greeted at the main entrance and by reception staff. They were very helpful and ensured we were all in suitable rooms (facing off the main street and with good air con). The Arabian courtyard lounge was a nice communal space for us to sit in and relax. Breakfast tasty. Good Wi-Fi, although did sporadically drop out for a period. We also visited their rooftop pool and gym, which is situated a short walk away, and had lovely views over Accra.

Hotel Urbano is adequate. It is a cut rate hotel masquarading as a boutique hotel. BTW The photos DO NOT match the hotel itself. The wifi works and the bot water works, but otherwise they provide the bare minumum for the cost. The location in Osu is convenient if you want to walk to a lot of places. I have stayed there twice in a two year period and found it much less accomodating and more expensive the second time. They have another hotel near by. I suspect that that hotel is more upscale and they pretend that they are the same. I am sure you could do much worse, but just don't expect more than a place to sleep.

The hotel was suggested to me by a friend, when I expressed interest on extending my stay in Accra. Nestled behind the larger than life I love Accra sign it is a structure you may miss getting caught up with the energy of Osun, Oxford Street. I arrived there after a long trip to Elmina and at first the lobby area is alright it's very small yet efficient.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly so I felt at home. The decor is classic modern ikea type style, no over large or ornate furniture. I got a standard single room and they made use of every little space you could use your feet to turn on tv from your bed if you tried. It's very modern decor and wonderful artistic plays with the grayish paint. The bed was comfy, shower and toilet compact and tiny. I am a little thicker of a Human, so if I ate one more plate of jollof, I may not have fit into the shower. It's also all stairs so if you are an elevator person, It maybe a no go for this hotel. I was on the first level thankfully !
I was comfy with my first room facing what looked like a banku restaurant and someone's home, till 2am hit a totally batty cock went off cock o doodling all night long. I didn't sleep a wink. I complained bright and early to the front desk staff, and they immediately asked if I would like to be moved to another room. I obliged before, I would be forced to make fried chicken with my guest town crier chicken. My new room faced the jumping Osun streets which didn't bother me at all, the Windows maybe sound proof because I slept like a baby that night and through my stay. The room cleaning staff were good and so friendly and helpful.
There was complimentary breakfast but I missed it everyday, I sleep late what can I say. When I dragged myself out of bed , I would head to the yummy lil restaurant they had behind the tiny lobby. They had local and continental dishes, but I fell in love with there avocado and egg open sandwich. It was so yummy had it everyday I was there, and the staff were always so pleasant and accommodating. I peeped other meals and it all looked yummy, and outside they have a balcony bar and Mediterranean style cafe.
The hotel is located by everything, from souvenir vendors of all sorts, to food sellers, restaurants, night clubs, bars, super markets, and money changers. You are in thick of things staying at this hotel. I walked to most of the things I wanted to get into.
There's also a chill hang out lounge area that's indoor out door in the hotel to chillax by yourself or with pals. Overall a great stay, I'll be back as soon as we can travel to Ghana again. I want to give a big kudos to Michael front desk , and the Nigerian security guard for going above and beyond to show me true customer service.
Great bang for my buck in Urbano, ps the have suits and 2 floor rooms so you can spring for the works if you want.
Medaasi Glitt !

Do NOT stay here. Extremely noisy, shower barely functions, lumpy beds, stained pillow cases, torn towels. Staff is very pleasant but not competent. I stayed here one night and canceled the rest of my stay. They also over billed me and could not figure out how to fix it. I went to the Accra City hotel which was excellent- and the same price!

Beautiful room. Staff was very kind. Restaurant was delicious. Centrally located from everything. Since it is on the Main Street it was easy to get picked up by cars or simply walk down the road whether for entertainment or shopping. Security guards were kind & still made the grounds feel safe.

The hotel is on Oxford Street in Accra with several casinos, supermarket and many shops near by. The hotel has a good restaurant on the Ground floor, and they have a good menu card. I loved the avocado on toast for breakfast. Rooms are clean and get services every day, and the staff are kind and helpfull. They also have a gym and a patio

I had a wonderful 2 night stay at Urbano Hotel with my 5 year old son. The customer service and hospitality was exceptional. Staff all friendly, accommodating, and considerate. I was close to all the places I love KFC, Second Cup, Shoprite (grocery store). I enjoyed their pool and the lovely buffet breakfast. I will definitely stay again and I highly recommend if you are looking to experience city life and go to the parties / nightlife which is all walking distance.

I stayed at Urbano for 6 nights for a business visit and found it very basic. The room was clean and compact. Bathroom was clean also. Although I would recommend you take your own soap if you are not willing to use a generic labelled soap dispenser i.e. they just printed a sticker saying soap not what type of soap. No other amenities provided apart from towel and generic soap.
On arrival, there was a complimentary bottle of water in the room and that was it for the entire stay. All other bottles had to be purchased which I found very bizzare - there's a 1st time for everything I guess. The hotel is well located in terms of nightlife - Oxford Street is very lively - lots of restaurants nearby but unfortunately the hotel is under a flight path so whilst trying to get some sleep you will be disturbed. There was a small gym on site which I did not get to use but it has the basics - weights, treadmill. No pool on site though. I never tried the breakfast as it did not look appealing enough - personal choice. Also the tv stations weren't working for my duration of stay, luckily I had my iPad to keep me entertained.
