We emailed Rex at Frankie's Hotel for an airport pick up, our flight was due about 8.15 pm. Rex confirmed there would be someone at the airport waiting for us with our names. Our flight was delayed 45 minutes, and our pick up was not there. For two foreign women, visiting Ghana for the first time, it was quite daunting being surrounded by people wanting to know where we were going and what we were doing. A stranger, who clearly wanted our business, offered to call the hotel. Rex answered the phone and said in a matter of fact manner, 'your flight was delayed, so the driver decided to leave'. Appalling. We demanded he came back, and he did. No apology or explanation forthcoming.

We returned to Accra from other parts of Ghana for one night prior to flying home. We stayed at Frankie's because our previous hotel (Urbano) was booked. Many of the things I noted in the review of Urbano apply to Frankie's - well located on Oxford Road. The room at Frankie's was the largest we had in Accra. Also the wi-fi was the best we had. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is no elevator in the hotel. The entrance is up a flight of stairs from the street -- this makes it probably a bit quieter than Urbano though less accessible for some. The breakfast is served in the restaurant in the hotel. It is included with the room. It is not a buffet; one selects from a menu. Nonetheless it was very good. We were very pleased with Frankie's

The hotel is relatively OK, but what I love most is the fact that it's ideally situated. You can easily get around town and pay less for taxi's or Uber, that's if most of your activities are around central town.

I was in Accra on a solo visit, I came in late trying to get a good place as I'm tired and I end up with Frankie's. The hotel is centrally located in a strategic place in the heart of Accra, very busy and vibrant neighborhood . The location of the Hotel makes it among the top choice in Accra. The rooms are spacious and neat, the in-house services are superb. The restaurant serves both in-house guests and non guests. They boasts of continental dishes. It's a Bed and Breakfast facility. They have decent and great breakfast which can be served in room at no extra charges. It's just a two minutes walk to Shoprite. The rooms are so clean and neat. The only problem is the price, it looks high. I will surely be there again anytime I'm in Accra.
