Facility wise this is one of the best hotels in Addis. The rooms are very spacious, clean , well equipped and designed nicely. A friendly reception by Batiyu. However the checking in proces was very slow. The same applies to the restaurant. The hotel is easy to find.
Please find Tewodros Mekuria at the restaurant and you will have the best service. He has a welcoming heart and would know your welfare besides serving the best food from Ethiopia. I will come again to this hotel when I am in Ethiopia
Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. From the door man to upper management they are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. ( Specially the receptionist) My sister and I, we had an amazing time staying at Capital Hote & Spa. Absolutely. I would highly recommend to friends and families this fabulous location. Keep up the good work!! Much love !! Beruk T.
The room was extra clean, hotel was quiet and peaceful, staff were welcoming, friendly and supportive especially Yeshi Nigussie. Food was well prepared. The hotel was considerate and offered me airport shuttling services as well as an early check in since l had an early flight.
Excellent dining - breakfast is very good. If you like traditional Ethiopian food, there's no need to leave the hotel. One other thing to note is the gym - it has a squat rack which is great if you're into weightlifting! At checkout there was a minor discrepancy with the bill but it was handled professionally. Overall great hospitality. The concierge Mr. Fitsum was especially helpful!
Mr. Mati megersa was one of the professional person whom I met in reception always eager to assist me during my long business trip. Loved this hotel for superb hospitality. Thank you Mrs. Yenenesh, lonely chef who knows exactly the inidan platter.
Excellent hotel with excellent staff and service, Mati GSA was very helpful, made me feel at home and catered for. I recommend the hotel for business meetings and conferences. The food was great and the gym and spa are exquisite.
I definitely enjoyed my stay in Addis Ababa at the Capital Hotel & Spa. The entire staff was extremely accommodating, friendly and informative. Fitsum the bellhop was extremely helpful and delivered excellent customer service. He informed me of interesting places to visit during my stay and made sure that I had all the resources I needed including transportation. Also Emebet who was a receptionist at the gym was extremely nice and hospitable. They are wonderful phenomenal individuals!! I will return there soon!!!!
We stayed in Capital Hotel & Spa September 16 to October 3. This is a fantastic hotel. The staff are professional and attentive making consistent effort to make you comfortable and welcomed. The valets Menea and Fitsum would jump to action to move, carry, or bring what you need. The desk clerks Danawit and Nardos welcome you and serve you with characteristic smile. If you included breakfast to your hotel expenses, you are in for a treat. The daily buffet is outstanding in variety and quality. The restaurent upstairs, in the cultural center, and at the bar serve both Ethiopian and non-Ethiopian food. The dining room is very welcoming from Gadisse who greets you at the door and the dining room staff that includes Bezawit, Tsehaye and Tolossa. Chef Tilahun is one who sees to it that you are happy. aone morning my wife mentioned a dish she had loved and the chef said I am going to make it for you. And he did. Special thanks to Sophanit and Sintayehu who ordered and supervised two separate banquets for family gathering. They each were so serious and caring! The bed is comfortable and maintained by conscientious cleaners. Security is taken seriously by the hotel. All in all, the hotel is uniquely defined by its professionalism and courtesy. When we visit Ethiopia again and stay in Addis, we will not look at another hotel! G & S Negash…
Capital Hotel & Spa is my new go-to hotel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I have stayed in a few hotels in the city, including guest houses and 5-star establishments and this one is special. I had booked a reservation with another boutique hotel that cancelled my reservation last minute and was recommended Capital by my travel agent as a solid replacement option. It exceeded my expectations. When I arrived, I was greeted professionally and courteously and my room was spacious, quiet and clean. What I enjoyed most were the on-site amenities such as 24-7 room service, laundry, the ATMs, bunna (coffee) ceremony, full service spa, well-equipped and large gym, swimming pool, and the nightly live music downstairs at the Capital Cultural Center venue. This place has everything to make ones stay in Addis comfortable and it is within walking or short drive distance from nice restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel and am grateful to concierge staff such as Fitsum Tesfaye and Meba Kassaye, the lovely bunna barista Azmera, the cool gym trainer whose name I forget, the front desk wondeme Haile Selassie and the friendly and attentive security personnel. They even gave me a special send-off with cake on my last night. The only problem I experienced was using my credit card to check out but their lobby ATM machines work great for getting out birr. I will definitely be back. Betam tiru! Five stars!…
