Had a booking there because the hotel I usually use was full. It's an ok hotel for Addis. Decent size room, clean bathroom, ok bed, cable TV and a kitchenette. 24/7 small bar and room service. Did not try the breakfast. The surroundings, like everything and everywhere in Addis, are one big construction site. Huge plus: less than 5 minutes from the airport, perfect for an overnight stop over.
The waiters and receptionist are very welcoming! The hotel has a small restaurant and lobby but feels like home. The rooms are well made for cooking. They provide meeting room for free and they print out things for you as a service. It really made my guest very happy.
Need to improve at the catering services. Ideally, during breakfast, the waiter should offer to serve the hot beverages. No need to be calling for their attention. limited TV stations, No DSTV. Fast internet, child-friendly, access to computers though very few as children usually spend time on computer games, close to shopping centres. Safe environment. Standard room has a spacious kitchenette. This allowed me to steam my vegetables.
I stayed 2 months and was made to feel as an honored guest. I will return in January. I needed to go to the airport on 5 days to find my bag and the hotel provided a car THANKS !! Whatsapp in Ethiopia works better if you turn the WIFI off so you use the date of your local cel line provider. Clean rooms are a passion and it shows. The gym is offsite but a short walk.
I stay in this place ---long stays while in Aďdis for work. The place is very welcoming and all staff are very friendly and accommodating Whatever you ask, they will find a way to make you happy. It's a good place when it comes to value for money. The manager Mr Berhanu and his team are doing a great job. The place is spotless. House keeping is of high standard. Cleaners are very neat, polite and absolutely honest. You can cook also as each room has a kitchen area. I live in one of the Penthose room which has a great view of mountains -- I really love the place. Security is excellent and staff can help with few extra errands on request. Lovely and healthy breakfast is a plus. Keep up the good work.
Very polite and professional staff in a very clean tiny hotel, with a tiny lobby and tiny, cramped rooms with a squeezed in kitchenette and one [1] only, small cupboard. The mattress and bedding not best of quality. From the two small windows in the room, one can touch the walls of the neighbour buildings. A very strong flood-light from the neighbour building was shining into the room and curtains were useless. A gym is reportedly available in some neighbouring building, but nobody there to direct. The promised airport shuttle failed and the self-organized airport taxi charged USD 15.- for a three minute trip! However, the room charge for unknown reasons is on the higher end. I had to leave after four days because of signs of claustrophobia. Notable though, the excellent breakfast, food in general is very good and obviously produced by a knowledgable kitchen crew.…
I am leaving soon to return for another month-long stay in Addis Ababa. My colleague and I have been lodging at the Reliance for the past 4 years, and the staff have become a second family to us. The chef, Mesfin, goes out of his way to ensure we have a variety of foods available in the morning buffet and will put together anything we ask for. The front desk staff takes care of any additional needs we have. Our rooms are comfortable, we are usually unaffected by the electrical outages because the hotel has an effective generator system, and I always have hot water in my morning shower! Looking forward to yet another great stay.
It was my first visit to Addis. I felt very safe, staff very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are bright and beautiful. Enjoyed myself. The staff try by all means to make s happy and satisfied. They organized a taxi for us to take us to the telecom to arrange Ethiopian SIM card. Very impressed!!! Even security staff at the entrance they make sure that you are safe, they accompany you to border ataxi and on arrival they also come and welcome you. Restaurant staff, they make sure that they get you what you want. Impressed!!!
Room: I stayed in studio standard room, which is with kitchen and Microwave which is good for bachelors too Specially the corner rooms on 5th floor are with larger washrooms Breakfast: Very nice, not too lavish but lot of variety everyday, the chef takes recommendations and cook the next day also....I loved it Staff: Very professional, courteous, trained and well mannered GYM: they dont have any fitness club, but they give pass to walk around 1 km and access a nice gym....this was bit disappointing for me
In my opinion Reliance is a very good option for Addis. The rooms are well organized with a small kitchenette. The bed was of very good quality and the housekeeping service was very good. Internet very reliable and the staff very helpful and super friendly. I loved the breakfast and I had a late meal which was very good one evening. The down side was the bathroom which was flooded every time I took a shower with peculiar shower arrangement. I also liked the location in the Bole area close to the airport. I will certainly return to this hotel next time I am in Addis.
