I had a really excellent stay here for more than a week. The staff are attentive and super-friendly; the room was clean, comfortable and modern; the food is excellent. It's set in beautifully maintained gardens and has good facilities – a well-equipped gym, a good-sized pool that's kept spotlessly clean, and a running track. It's a very peaceful spot (though light sleepers will be woken by the prayers from the nearby church at 2am on Sunday mornings!). Free wifi with decent speed, although it did come and go a bit, The room was good value at 50 USD per night, and the food was also reasonably priced. My only suggestion is that the management could make it easier to make a booking – I had to spend a fair bit of time Googling to find the Haile Hotels central reservation details ( +251 118 68 17 97). I'm also attaching a photo of a business card with a couple more numbers at Yaya Village itself. In summary – a really charming place, highly recommended.…
We parked at Yaya Village in order to start a group training run into the mountains. The resort has a lovely setting, a swimming pool and outdoor seating under umbrellas for coffee and meals. We were a large-ish group of maybe 20 people and they got our coffee orders right, though they took a while. Probably the biggest let-down, common in Ethiopia, was the very very slow issuing of the bill (we were happy to have a combined bill) where they made us tick off individual orders and give them our money individually. My staff tell me this is a popular day-trip destination for local families on hot season weekends and I can see why. The clear air and outdoor activities are a real drawcard when you live in Addis with not much daily access to these.
I stayed in this hotel for 1 week with my running group. The stuff was very friendly and helpful! The food was delicious and always on time... The room was very clean 😁 The gym is cool! I really raccomand this hotel if your in Addis...
The resort is more that 10 km from Addiss Ababa in a higher land so better to take care of lower temperature It is quite place full of activities Kids like swimming pool , playing area and horse riding We were unhappy with the breakfast they served and when requested late check out they ask to pay half amount On the way to we used google map it took us through crowded area but on the way back we user A3 road from there till we reach city Recommend for a group of people
This was my second visit to this beautiful resort. As usual, I enjoyed the coffee ceremony. But there was also the gym and steam bath. The specialty of the place is sports, and all the facilities are available and functioning well. I recommend this resort to those looking for a peaceful but active place to holiday.
I was stayed at Yaya village for four nights with group of colleague's. The all staff are very hospitable, humble and always there to help. The service was very prompt and professional. They have also very good gym, swimming pool, football field and other facilities like steam sauna. I highly recommend this place.
I went there with family, it has beautiful and large area which includes swimming pool, restaurant, gym, play ground for kids and lot of fun things to do. The food is delicious and fairly priced.you can go with friends, family or as acouple and have good time with very relaxing environment. The staff is well trained and and very polite. I would definitely go there again.
Observed total absence of training to hotel staff. Looks like management has appointed hotel staff directly from local villages without putting them even for one day training. Very much disappointed. Specially their security, they don't even know how to talk and behave with the hotel guests. One of the lady security staff misbehaved with my family like anything. This security staff even doesn't know the proper words to use with hotel guests that too in their local language. Totally disappointed. This type of BAD service killed our holiday mood and despite of good facilities, we simply decided not to enter again here also will share our experience with the people. Recommendation: enter in yaya village only if you are ready to sacrifice your self respect.
Room was a good size, clean and comfortable and well set out. The bed was hard but had a bit of a dip in it. TV available. The bath was falling apart and seemed a little dangerous to stand in to have a shower. Bathroom needs some repairs and maintenance. A large Athletics compound and can be a bit confusing as to where things are. Very little to no signage. Staff were very helpful and flexible and provided good service. Different eating areas available and food was reasonable.
My husband and I traveled to Ethiopia for The Great Ethiopian Run and then planned a 3-week vacation around that event. When we learned about Yaya Village it seemed like a good idea to go there for a few days. I admit I didn't expect a lot, but truly it was comfortable as well as lots of fun. I recommend anyone going there opt for the "full board" package because that includes not only a shuttle, your room and the grounds but also all-day access to food (excellent menu). And, most importantly, a personal trainer every day. With that trainer you can go for a run or go to the gym for hints about your own training drills. We also had an optional (for a small fee) massage, which was great, too. It was also fun to watch people train on the track (runners and soccer teams.) Overall, this place is delightful.…
