I stayed 19 days it’s beautiful like Addis Ababa close for every thing the staff are concerned like your family I recommend to anyone who want to enjoy Addis Ababa the way you want it stay in Edna Addis they show you their hospitality practically not theoretically! !
I stayed 2 days with Feb 2020 and really i was never able to sleep from noisy everywhere plus there is another small windows at street side so you can still able to recognize cats , dogs and cars sounds . room windows and door on the corridor side so u can feel that u are slipping in the corridor it self . i changed the hotel in order to able to sleep
This is basically a small hotel which is excellent value for money! Convenient free airport transfer, but good to have a phone number to call upon landing at the airport. The best thing was the wonderfully helpful and friendly staff who did their best, starting with the manager and including the reception people, maintainance staff, restaurant staff and drivers who all did their best. The hotel was not that close to my place of work but I got a ride on most days as part of the deal which was super-convenient. The restaurant served excellent food (I tried mostly Ethiopian, but they had continental stuff too) - very vegetarian friendly. When the hotel was full breakfast was a buffet with a tasty spread of injera-based dishes, eggs to order, saute-d vegetables, standard toast and pancakes, some meat stuff, and great thick papaya and guava fruit juice. Watch out though that on days that the hotel is not full, there is no buffet so breakfast needs to be ordered and takes a few more minutes. I stayed there for eight nights, and being a small establishment, I got to know most of the staff, and basic English was understood by most. Rooms, attached bathroom, sheets etc all very clean. Running hot water tends not to be available in the evenings though. WiFi worked well most of the time, and I was hardly affected by the power failures. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner as well - with a very large menu which is extremely vegetarian friendly - I ate the lovely Ethiopian dishes, traditional Injera platter with Shiro and vegetables, Injera with spicy tomato sauce and curried sauce, rice with vegetables - not spicy but Yum!…
I stayed twice, on arrival in Ethiopia for two nights and on my way home for one. The rooms are spacious with v comfortable beds. There’s a good size bathroom, great towels and nice touches to the rooms. It’s v clean and extremely friendly. There’s a v convenient restaurant - not the best food I had in Ethiopia but perfectly alright. Buffet breakfast is ample with plenty of choice. There’s a v good free shuttle to ththe airport, prompt and efficient. Wi-fi isn’t great but hardly anywhere in Ethiopia is good. This is Africa so quirks about rooms and bathrooms are standard. It’s still a nice hotel and I stayed in many that were not nearly as smart. The staff are lovely - welcoming and helpful. It’s a thoroughly good mid-price hotel.
Very impressed by our short stay at Edna. It was excellent value, with a good location, comfortable room, hearty breakfast, and above all lovely staff who really went out of their way to be welcoming and helpful.
