Very friendly guest house and accessible to Shola market. We especially enjoyed the breakfast and there is coffee available all day. You are not staying in the Hilton or even a premier inn but you have to adjust your mindset in Ethiopia. I would stay here again and that is very likely as I am constantly visiting Ethiopia. I would... More

Me and my wife stayed here for a couple of weeks. The guesthouse is nice and tidy, but not fancy. The restaurant is ok, but very expensive compared to other great places in Addis Ababa. The area is a little off compared to other attractions in Addis Ababa, but still in walking distance.

I stayed in early October as part of a large group doing some charity work in Addis and we were split into double rooms and apartments. The accommodation was basic but clean and the food was excellent, much better than most of the restaurants we ate in. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place with... More

The Yeka is freezing cold. The first night I had to wear gloves in bed. The Yeka serves very salty food. If you want dinner, you have to order by 12 noon! The Yeka is overpriced. A soda cost 20 birr - double the price of a kiosk. The Yeka's generator is ineffective and usually cuts out soon after the... More

people says: It is too easy for hotels and guest houses to write their own reviews, or pay others to write them. I X my heart , this isn't the case. Just got back from ADDIS ababa . I had a lovely time stayed at Yeka. Rooms are cleaned Daily, the price is affordable and negotiable ( discus it with Elisabeth)... More

I stayed at Yeka for a month with a group of 4 other students. We stayed in the four bedroom flats. The rooms were very nice, though one room is more like a closet. The flat had 3 bathrooms which was an unexpected surprise. The rooms were kept impeccably clean for the entire time we were there. The staff was... More

I am a wheelchair user, I was told the room was accessible with only one step, turned out to be five. We were told that due to some new governmental rule we could not buy sim cards in Addis Ababa. Untrue. We were told we had to go to the Sheridan if wanted more than 4000birr from an ATM. Rubbish.... More

I stayed with three other students in one of the "four" bedroom flats for about 1 month in May 2014. There are actually three very nice bedrooms (one with an en suite bathroom to itself), and then the fourth bedroom is very small and does not have any furniture except a bed (it could fit a small dresser and side... Quiet, clean and safe guesthouse, the friendly and helpful staff will contribute to the comfort of your stay. Centrally located, but in the garden you'll have no idea of the busy city life outside the gates. Breakfast and dinner is really good, a pleasant mixture of African and European cuisine. Wifi reception is surprisingly reliable in the lounge area.
