Hotel is amazing, though would advise to just do not go for less then 60 usd rooms a night should you book at this place. Staff is super friendly, room service is so amazing. a guy by the name of Wandy who is also staff member really make your stay more homey at the location. He is super helpful, in addition of a already efficient staff. any thing you want he can organize it and you can get it within few minutes.
Probably the most wonderful aspect of this hotel is the friendly reception and cooperation you get from management and all the employees. Hot water was available at all times and electricity was available most times. The rooms are spacious and priced reasonably.
I have stayed here for 7 months and I recommend this hotel for their best hospitality. The room service is good and they provide a free laundry. Only thing I dont like about this hotel is we can spot some cockroaches in kitchen's. If the kitchen is not regularly used. I love to stay in EMMAD and I even tell staying in emmad is like staying at home. The best rate in Addis.
stayed here for 11 nights in 2013 and think its an allright place. the main plus of this hotel is the friendly staff that went out of their way to make my stay pleasant. the price is reasonable and will def recommend it to anyone thats visiting addis.
It's a well positioned Apartment Hotel in Addis Ababa just within 3 to 5 km from Bole Int'l along Ring Rd/ Gerji Rd off the round about adjacent to 'former' Imperial Hotel. Could have been the 'best' in the locality but for the ageing state. A new wing is under construction though. The 'staff' are the same 'hospitable' people you learn to befriend every trip you re-visit EMMAD with 'burner' and popcorn a welcome gesture on every visit. The 'restaurant/bar' is "RUN DOWN". Better they got rid of it for the time being and/or renovate it. The 'culinary' staff and restaurant attendants are bellow per and need training. The 'breakfast' is often a 'jock' if not for the 'Sunday buffet breakfast' at least. As a frequent 'customer' to the Hotel have seen it 'deteriorating' to an extent of thinking twice next time one visits Addis if to lodge at EMMAD. They need to 'refurbish' especially the linen and and room accessories for the price tag. Otherwise, the studio and executive rooms are 'roomy' and well designed if only lighting could be better and WiFi reception improved. I love EMMAD otherwise........ and wish them the BEST.…
