This room worked fine for a short night sleep. The shower doors allowed lots of water on the floors and thus a need for additional towels. While it is true the beds were harder than I desire. The room was clean, and thus ok for me. Found hotel staff helpful.

The airline put us up in this hotel for free due to an extended layover, so the only thing I can't complain about is the price. The beds were like sleeping on stones. There was no air in the room, so we opened the windows to let in the breeze and unfortunately all outside noises as well. The shower functioned,... More

Recently, just for fun, I went to several hotels in Addis to check on rooms standard. Ararat was the last hotel we checked. We were so impressed with the 3 other hotels but not Ararat. The room was just horrible. The staff at the reception was the least professsional. Also the rooms rates are more expensive. I will not recommend... More

We were actually put up in Ararat by our airline due to a delay, so would never have chosen to stay here. The only way we could describe it is bizarre. We had to whip off the lacy bed covers before they gave us nightmares. The dinner buffet was terrible - stale rolls, greasy cabbage and fries. Breakfast not much... More

My phone never worked for a whole week, kept complaining and it was never fixed. the dining area is a cross the road so had to cross a very wet road every time i needed to go to the bar or have a meal. Slowest Internet in the whole wide world. Shower cubicle leaked in to my loo area and... More

Have to improve in every way. The service is very bad. Rooms are not tidy and the location is way out. There is no lift and had to carry my luggage to the second floor.

Matress was poor and when taking the shower the water stayed in the bathtub. Communicating in english was a struggle both in the reception and even more in the restaurant. Breakfast was little and for the other meals food was ok, but communication was a struggle and even with few guests it was timeconsuming to give your orders and to... More

The stay in the Ararat is each time a pleasure. From the first day onwards the employees made me feel very welcomed. Very friendly manger and staff-they walk an extra mile o make their customers happy and satisfied. The hotel itself is in a very good condition. Even though there is a road close by it's very peaceful. I can... More

My organisation has used Ararat several times for workshops and conferences. I have alot of experience of these kind of hotels and these services and Ararat is among the best I have seen. The events were non-residential so I cannot comment on the accommodation, however the rooms look well appointed and clean. What I can say is that the staff... More

In June of 2008 we traveled to Ethiopia for purpose of child adoption reasons. The flight arrived late in the evening about 10.00pm or so. We were given a reference to stay at Ararat Hotel, so we got a taxi and headed to the hotel. Although we were given alternative hotel names, Ararat happened to be in the direction of... More

Dear our reviewers, Thank you for the feed back that you have posted on the trip adviser web page regarding our hotel.
