I stayed at de leopol while on transit to Zimbabwe. The hotel is fairly large and it seems that it's been in existence for quite some time with the old antique look. It is the worst hotel you can ever see in Ethiopia. It is Unclean at all. services is bad. prostitutes are in the lobby of the hotel.the manegment are very bad. I rent one room and I had to move out due to the bug in the room

unfortunately the ticket booked had a 12 hour layover in Addis Ababa. After a very confused 1 hour period waiting outside for the shuttle bus we were driven to this "hotel" were the surley receptionist took the paperwork and gave me a key without reading the paper. Hi Got this hotel compliments of Ethiopian Airways. Not impressed at all. Piece of uncovered foam on top of the mattress. Very very noisy. Water pipes making a constant noise. Did not try the buffet dinner or breakfast. Didn't look like anything that I could eat. Would not recommend this hotel at all.

I was tempted by their beautiful advert at the airport on my arrival in addis: a handsome young guy welcomed us and took us to their airport shuttle finally to the hotel. If you do not want to ruin your stay in Addis Ababa, please do not ever stay in this "hotel". Poor food, poor service, unstable wifi, even no trash bin in the room. There was only one electric connector - so I want to watch TV, fridge has to be plugged off. And you have to pay almost USD 100...

As many already wrote before our stay was also organized as a Transit Hotel by Ethiopean Airways. The transport to the hotel went well in a shuttle. It was interesting to see a bit of town. I slept 2 nights in this hotel, in different weeks, because I had a long layover in Addis Ababa. When I asked for the wifi password, the front desk lady said "first go have your dinner, than I give you the password". I was like "what?" Anyway, I did what she told me. I too got the hotel booked by ET, it's not too bad, the staff are friendly enough, the room is nice, food was nice but not a large variety to choose from, it looks old fashioned on the inside (like a 1970s hotel), wifi is working fine, the key is unbelievably heavy (3-5kgs)

I stayed here while in transit with Ethiopian Airways. After arriving at the hotel we were told that there would be a buffet dinner served courtesy of the airline which was kind of them to do. The food was average quality but there wasn't enough quantity to feed bus loads of hotel guests as they arrived, they were constantly running... More
