I had a great stay at the Merina. I had planned to stay there for 3 or 4 nights, but because of complications, I extended another 3 nights. The staff was lovely, competent and flexible. I needed IT support and got it within minutes. I needed a doctor and had support immediately. The staff was consistently both kind and professional....

I was in Yaounde for a six-day work trip and my host recommended Hotel Merina. I've traveled alot in Africa and have stayed in different kinds of hotels. Hotel Merina is not luxury, but was perfect for my stay. The price was very reasonable, the staff were friendly and responsive, the free WIFI worked great the entire time, hot water...

We were sent to this hotel by the airline, as our next flight was delayed. What was noticeable is the distance from the airport to the hotel! Definitely not a place you want to chose for a short stay / layover. The hotel staff was very polite, and managed to accommodate all of us, quite quickly. However, once we got...

But for one snobbish receptionist, the reception is good. Neat hotel. Modern elevators, perfect African decoration, good restaurant/bar service (though the food and drink a little more expensive than expected), quite. Nice fragrance and entrance regularly cleaned. Very friendly staff. Ground floor toilet a little obsolete. Summary: Encouraging. Good location in the business and central part of the city, so...

The Location of the Hotel is good & adequate parking is available. Staff is generally helpful & even go out of their way to help. Restaurant serves tasty food of good quality. Maintenance is poor; elevator has been out of order & the wi-fi is also out of order or frequently getting disconnected, during my last three stays. The room...

When we travel yaounde this is where we lodge, the restaurant has an excellent carte with a mixture of african/european food that anyone can enjoy. Prices are fair and we can say tha is a value for money hotel, for those who would like to swim they have a nice swiming pool and terrace

About 30 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from the Camrail station - traffic permitting. Reasonable hotel by local standards for a basic stopover on business. The air conditioning worked quite well in the bedroom and the bedroom was clean and suitable for a quick stay. Hot water took a while to arrive in the shower, but it worked...

Stayed over for one night on my way to Douala. The staff were helpful enough, although the bookings clerk had clearly messed up the details of my reservation. The wifi wasn't working on the 4th floor so I had to go down to the lobby. The room itself was really basic. Very spartan. Towel (singular) and bed linen was not...

The worst internet in the history of all my trips, the staff is so lethargic, over priced room service and long waiting times at the restaurant... Please try to avoid this Hotel. The only good thing is its closeness to the city centre.

The possitive aspect is its location. It is also very clean. Other than that services are not good in general. Internet does not work in the rooms, only in the main hall sometimes, only when there is not a lot of people around. For a business trip, this is terrible. No maps of the city available, nice and smiley personnel...
