You can tell the quality of an hotel by the staff and at time if check-in, neither staff members made any effort at all to smile or make us feel at all welcome. Thank goodness for a hot shower. Breakfast was due from 06.30, but at 06.55 the restaurant was closed and the receptionist was not going to make eye contact with me. I left and found breakfast elsewhere. I came back to my room several times during the day and the telephone would ring, but there would be no-one there, or there would be a housekeeper lurking outside. In short, I did not feel at all safe staying there and would not do so again. I would certainly not leave anything of value in the room.

The first issue I had and which I also faced even at the Mont Febe is avoid online bookings. I kept calling to make sure they got my reservation which I had done via booking.com a week earlier. When I got to the hotel I was given a regular room meanwhile I had paid for a luxury tein room. Tried the beef fillet with rice and it was terrible. The food was served with bread which I should say is a plus for them. On the first night, the bathroom light didn’t come on but it got fixed the next day after I raised the complaint. The next day the staff were willing to help me print off something only there was no Internet connection. I asked for my room to be cleaned and 4 hours later upon my return, the bed was still not made up. The hotel is centrally located, right on the road and impossible to miss. It is a short walk from the Omnisport stadium in Quartier FOUDA. The linen and towels were very clean and the bed comfortable. During my stay, the Kenyan and Batswana Girl Volley Ball players were being lodged here for the African Volley ball cup 2017 finals. Overall I’ll probably stay here again, only thing is don’t expect anything fancy.

Clean rooms good cook and polite staff. Located in a calm quiet area. The bathrooms are a bit small but it's ideal for a business stay. Get a room with backside view for a more peaceful quiet and calm stay

This is a decent hotel, very clean, employees are very nice and friendly; but my only concern was the Internet. It would come and go from time to time. I understand they are still building, which could be the reason. Location is great, the bar-restaurant is fantastic, and people very friendly. Outside the hotel, food is very diverse: don't be afraid to try something new. For transportation, you have several choices: pay 250 CFA(50¢), and travel in group or 2000fcfa($5) and be alone in your cab. They call it Depot!!! Good luck!!!!

The room was adequate with A/C and TV but TV had very few channels. WiFi connection was good. Bathroom did not have shower curtain and one evening hot water went off. Restaurant and reception staff were very helpful, especially Mr Jean Pierre from reception. Dinner was delicious but wine options are limited, breakfast is poor (especially cheese variety). Shuttle from hotel to airport was very good, driver was kind and careful, however price (30$)was high. Finally 80$ per night is above the value, I think.

I loved my stay at Hotel Mansel, but the rooms tended to have a musty smell, which was rather uncomfortable. Interestingly, I got used to it after two days. I ordered breakfast in the room, but the Coffee was never really hot enough. Some of the stuff served at breakfast was evidently leftovers and not so palatable. Free Wi-Fi was available in the room, but was also subject to general quality of telecom service which was like a yo-yo. I couldn't blame the hotel for that. For the price, it was an OK hotel, with much room for improvement.

Central in the city and very welcoming staff - close to all businesses. The food was nice with a quality service. Easy to commute within the city centre, you feel in total security leaving your stuff at the hotel as the service is really professional.

I stayed at Mansel for 2 nights. The hotel is basic, huge, fairly old. I did not find anything spetacular except the fact that I had good rest. The staff is more administrative than customer-oriented, but I think this is more of a Frech-speaking culture. The receptionist would respond to inqiries with less-than-friendly attitude. For the price, it is okay. Other than that I would give the hotel a C-. Thank you.

I spent 7 nights here and really enjoyed this hotel. It is basic but very clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is very good. It's also very quiet, even with a room facing the road.

No, it's not the Hilton, but the staff is as helpful as one can expect, the security seems good, and the restaurant provides a good breakfast or dinner. The rooms are fairly clean, air conditioned, but dimly lit. The bar and restaurant are air conditioned. There is not very much in close walking distance (e.g. other restaurants or internet cafe). Internet at the hotel is somewhat reliable and there has even been wireless on occasion. It's on a busy street so if noise bothers you, ask for a back room; likewise, there are sometimes noisy affairs in the ground floor facilities, but they have never been a problem in upper floor rooms. Thee is an elevator. We have stayed there many times (Engineers Without Borders from the U.S.).
