We genuinely had the best time here. It's not fancy, it's not clean and certainly not for the faint hearted but it is the beating heart of Vic Falls at night. Everyone congregatees here for a Savanah cider, some singalongs, a late night dip and a boogie with a bunch of strangers who will all become your best mate by...

Stayed there for a night, the room smelled like sweat and stinky feet. We all said it needs a clean, the whole place. Food is okay. There were many drunk locals around at the bar the whole night. No mosquito nets, but the room were full of mosquitoes.

This is basically like sleeping at a fraternity house. Every night, almost all of Victoria Falls' tourists and (thirsty) locals come to the bar/restaurant and drink and listen to progressively louder music -- and then the next morning, when you wake up, you see the staff cleaning up broken glass and tidying up the "party scene." As others have said,...

This place is so bad!!! I'll try to be as concise as possible. The loud awful music. The drug dealers in the bar. The complete lack of security. The sandflea breeding ground they call a campsite. The absolute rip off rooms. The staff. The food was really bad. The filthy communal area out the back. That just about covers it......Go...

Mattresses was so bad that we woke up with back pains and when asked for more mattresses we were told that it wasn't possible. It's dirty, no locks on the toilet doors, no soap and very little hot water. You pay for wifi that works poorly. We approach the staff at the reception a few times for help but we...

The biggest plus with this lodge is the location. It's approximately 10 minutes by foot away from the Vic Falls National Park and from the Kingdom Hotel, where the Intercape bus stop is located. The place is indeed bustling with activity at night; many locals go there to drink and party. Music, TV, and chatter are persistent into the night....

I stayed there for 4 nights when visiting Victoria Falls and would chose a different option if going there again. I stayed there as it was a place known to be nice to chill out and meet people. But I was unfortunate on both. Starting with the good pieces: I got a private room, with ensuite. The bad was comfortable...

I've been traveling for 15 months and have stayed at a lot of backpackers in Africa, Shoestrings has a different vibe. The facilities are clean and comfortable, on par for what you'd find out here. The staff is exceedingly polite and helpful. If you need anything, they will get it for you, you just need to ask. The boys at...

We stayed here as a last minute thing because we were let down by our Airbnb host. The staff were very friendly and helpful for us and we stayed as a couple in the double bed private room en suite. It even had air conditioning which was really handy! The room was small but the bed was comfy - the...
