I absolutely loved my time at Matetsi! I went in the first week of November for 3 nights and everything was absolutely wonderful. This is the ~20th andBeyond property and 9th trip to Africa, so I am very familiar with the company and its ethos/standards. Throughout my time there, I kept thinking "wow, the gang is back together, so amazing!"...

I visited Matetsi for three nights. The super efficient enthusiastic staff made me feel so welcome from the second I arrived - any outside stress magically seemed to disappear. Lodges are beautiful and the private plunge pool is a lovely touch. I was privileged to encounter lion on my first game viewing outing, the guides are extremely knowledgeable and professional,...

I spent two nights at Matetsi with family visiting from abroad and it was magnificent! We felt more than welcome from the moment we arrived to the moment they all waved goodbye when we left. Lodges was a level of comfort beyond when we had ever tried before and we got to see a pack of lions chilling right in...

I want to start with all the positives. My girlfriend and I went in November, 2016 for three nites. Bottom line, we had a great time. The game watching was excellent and our guides superb. My girlfriend became expert at finding giraffes. We took a river cruise at sundown that was relaxing and beautiful. The entire countryside is gorgeous and...

This property has been completely rebuilt and is now andBeyond Matetsi River Lodge. It is not known for its game but we saw a family pride of lions which I will remember for years to come. The rooms are large and the bathroom to die for. The private plunge pool and day bed is the perfect spot to watch animals...

Very seldom do you come across a Lodge that surprises. If you are tired of the same old same old, get over to this new lodge which has been completely refurbished. The construction is completely fresh. The Lodge has a perfect balance between modern architecture that still leaves you with a feel of old school charm. Particular attention to detail...

I have visited numerous 5 Star Lodges, but my stay at Matetsi way surpassed anything I have experienced before. The setting on the rolling banks of the Zambezi River surrounded by 50000 ha of game viewing paradise set the scene for an unforgettable experience. The superb architecture of the buildings absorbs them into the environment, yet offers luxury like I...

There is nothing more spectacular than seeing the Victoria Falls or experiencing the Lookout Deck in Vic Falls (and all the activities...gorge swing, zip lining, great restaurant) but in my view, if you want to escape from the hustle and bustle and noisy helicopters, you need to get out of town. We visited Matetsi, 30km out of Vic Falls, and...
