My husband and I recently spent part of our honeymoon in Victoria Falls to see the sights and staying at the VF Safari Lodge was the perfect choice for us. It is secluded from the small downtown area of VF and you truly feel like you're living in the African bush for a few days - of course with all...

Great place, first time at Victoria Falls, great expectations and they were well met, the rooms were spacious, great ambience, nice size balcony overlooking a waterhole that attracted lots of wildlife, large comfortable bed, a delightful place to stay! Restaurant served delicious food, with great service.

Really enjoyed this hotel.. It's beautiful, the service is friendly and professional.. But at peak season I expected this place and actually all the Victoria falls to be busy.. But I realized that for international standards Zimbabwe has become very expensive! The hotels the activities etc.. Just are very expensive. I read that the average occupancy in hotels in Zimbabwe...

We spent 2 nights here in October. The lodge is situated approximately 4 km's from the town centre and victoria falls safari park, where the falls can be viewed. There is an efficient shuttle service to the park as well as other amenities in the town. The food at the restaurant is excellent, with an incredible view of a watering...

I had a great 3 night here at the end of December. Every single person I met was very helpful and kind. The restaurant was delicious for both breakfast and dinner. The pool was lovely overlooking the watering hole and the bar had a perfect sunset balcony view! Well worth the price for this place!

My Mum had always wanted to visit Africa and so what better place to visit than Victoria Falls and we were amazed at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. Warm and friendly greeting and before going to our room how could you pass up a drink at the deck overlooking the waterhole with an amazing number of elephants. All through the afternoon...

Make no mistake - Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe is expensive. Our 2 day trek to Vic Falls cost nearly as much as 10 days in South Africa (incl. airfare, lodging, dining). The USD is the primary currency and prices are similar to New York or Los Angeles. The Safari Lodge is nice. The staff is nice and helpful, the rooms are...

Rooms are OK, views of course are fantastic across the national park but many rooms although they back onto the watering hole, are far from it so animals are far away. Service OK To be honest for the cost it just isn't worth it. Breakfast buffet was good but not excellent- hot chocolate for kids was chargeable- most other 5*...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Voted the best Safari Lodge in Zimbabwe for 20 years running, the world-famous Victoria Falls Safari Lodge offers easy access to the iconic Victoria Falls, coupled with a wildlife experience that is truly unrivalled. Now in its 22nd year of welcoming guests, the Lodge is built on a plateau overlooking the Zambezi National Park with endless unspoilt views to the horizon, just four kilometers from the Falls. This is the only sunset facing hotel in Victoria Falls, and the newly-renovated rooms and balconies are built up above a central waterhole which attracts herds of buffalo, elephant, giraffe, zebra, as well as night-time predators, such as lion and leopard. Our warm and personable staff are our greatest pride. Past guests frequently comment on our team's sublime hospitality and seamless delivery. The main areas of the lodge, such as the MaKuwa-Kuwa restaurant and the homely Buffalo Bar, are rich in ambience and also overlook the central waterhole, where drinks and dinners are often shared with wildlife meandering down to the water each day to quench their thirst. ... more   less
