Great place to stay when at Victoria Falls. The lodge was clean, we'll located, and very amenable. Breakfasts were great. Shutter service to town was fabulous and convenient. Staff was very friendly. I would recommend this lodge to anyone staying at Victoria Falls.

We stayed here for the third time and not disappointed in any way. The new rooms, the views, the sunsets, and the wonderful choice of food what more could you want. Oh and in the evening over dinner you get live African singing which was superb. There is vulture feeding at 1p.m every day this is an amazing site and helping...

The food and service in the open air restaurant and bar was excellent. The views of the wildlife from our room, our walks, and the restaurant and bar were amazing. Easy transport access to the falls, the Zambezi cruises, and the helicopter rides!

Had the Buffalo Bar lunch menu before watching the vulture feeding at lunchtime. Good varied menu and more than a snack menu - food was tasty, wholesome and service quick and friendly. Reasonably priced too. Perfect place to sit and eat overlooking the view of the waterhole. A guide feeds the vultures scraps of meat at 1300hrs and you can...

The Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is an exquisite thatched lodge overlooking a pan that has prolific game visitations. The rooms are very comfortable and the menu good and varied. The staff are very friendly and helpful

This is a truly authentic African lodge with excellent well equipped rooms overlooking the Zimbabwe National Park and waterhole. The view from the balcony is breath taking, with daily visits from various animals and a constant chorus from local birds. The staff are the friendliest and most helpful of all the lodges/hotels I stayed at during my 3 week tour...

This was the last stop on our 17 day tour. The setting was very beautiful and the staff was kind and very helpful. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Sitting on the balcony of my room, watching the animals before me is a sight I'll never forget!

Came to Victoria Falls Safari Lodge for a quick romantic getaway. The service was generally very good except for the little mishap with dinner - we thought we only had to make a reservation for the Boma but turned out we couldn't get a table at the in-house restaurant without a reservation!!! We were squeezed in 45 minutes later, at...

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a pleasant stay. The lodge is located about 10-15 mins drive from the main city, and has a great view overlooking a watering hole. Pros: + Great views of the watering hole. Be sure to reserve a watering hole facing room + Tasty breakfast with both cold and hot options. The kiwi...

Unfortunately this incredibly over-priced lodge lists as a five star but falls well short of that standard. The room itself did not have enough space for two people to walk about. The bathroom last saw any form of renovation many years ago and was so poorly lit that I am unsure how anybody is supposed to be able to shave...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Voted the best Safari Lodge in Zimbabwe for 20 years running, the world-famous Victoria Falls Safari Lodge offers easy access to the iconic Victoria Falls, coupled with a wildlife experience that is truly unrivalled. Now in its 22nd year of welcoming guests, the Lodge is built on a plateau overlooking the Zambezi National Park with endless unspoilt views to the horizon, just four kilometers from the Falls. This is the only sunset facing hotel in Victoria Falls, and the newly-renovated rooms and balconies are built up above a central waterhole which attracts herds of buffalo, elephant, giraffe, zebra, as well as night-time predators, such as lion and leopard. Our warm and personable staff are our greatest pride. Past guests frequently comment on our team's sublime hospitality and seamless delivery. The main areas of the lodge, such as the MaKuwa-Kuwa restaurant and the homely Buffalo Bar, are rich in ambience and also overlook the central waterhole, where drinks and dinners are often shared with wildlife meandering down to the water each day to quench their thirst. ... more   less
