Travelers' Choice
Voted the best Safari Lodge in Zimbabwe for 23 years running, the world-famous Victoria Falls Safari Lodge offers easy access to the iconic Victoria Falls, coupled with a wildlife experience that is truly unrivalled. Now in its 25th year of welcoming guests, the Lodge is built on a plateau overlooking the Zambezi National Park with endless unspoilt views to the horizon, just four kilometers from the Falls. This is the only sunset facing hotel in Victoria Falls, and the newly-renovated rooms and balconies are built up above a central waterhole which attracts herds of buffalo, elephant, giraffe, zebra, as well as night-time predators, such as lion and leopard. Our warm and personable staff are our greatest pride. Past guests frequently comment on our team's sublime hospitality and seamless delivery. The main areas of the lodge, such as the MaKuwa-Kuwa restaurant and the homely Buffalo Bar, are rich in ambience and also overlook the central waterhole, where drinks and dinners are often shared with wildlife meandering down to the water each day to quench their thirst.

I stayed with my friends in Vic Falls Safari Lodge in September'2023 for 2 nights. This one of the busiest lodges in the Vic Falls town I must say, yet the staff manage the load very well. the entire lodge is well appointed and the rooms too facing the Zambezi National Park. We had rooms 65 and 66 facing the water hole that is regularly frequented by animals like Giraffe, Kudu, Impala, Elephants and many more. The Rooms are pretty decent, on the day one we had water issue, however the Guest Relationship Manager Ms. Lin attended to it personally and resolved the matter. The Buffalo Bar is superb, the service is very slow can be tad faster. Food in Makuwa Kuwa Restaurant and Buffalo Bar was very good. Breakfast buffet had a decent spread. The Spa in Vic. Falls Safari lodge is one of the best that I have visited so far, the ambience is fantastic, the staff are thorough professional. The lodge offers shuttle service to City and Vic falls which 4-5 kms away from the hotel. Barring minor glitches here and there, it is worth staying in this lodge. I recommend it.

We didn’t stay here but cine for a sunset cocktail! What a beautiful location to enjoy the scenery, drink and friends. We were fortunate to see any animals but did enjoy the crazy birds! The fancy cocktails were delicious and a good price. We also enjoyed an wonderful pizza!

My husband and I had a spectacular time in VF and specifically at this lodge. The accommodations were lovely, the staff very pleasant, and the restaurant absolutely wonderful. We really enjoyed our glass of wine on the patio at sunset while watching the animals below!

The Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is extremely comfortable, including the bed, bathroom, amenities, views, and excellent WIFI. The air conditioning was outstanding and sorely needed throughout our stay. The lodge is around 10 to 15 minutes away from Victoria Falls via shuttle bus. This is an excellent place to stay if you do not want or need to be within walking distance to the Falls. Free shuttle service with a very pleasant driver was available, although the operating hours for the service was very limited (hourly in the morning then every two hours). Although we did not use a taxi service, we were told that the cost to Victoria Falls was around $10.

A wonderful hotel, such a beautiful view and position overlooking the area around. We had a two roomed apartment next to the hotel which although is about a 300 mètre walk from the hotel is lovely and there are regular shuttles. They do a vulture viewing lunch, and an interesting dinner at their Boma restaurant. The food is excellent and the pool beautiful. There is regularly wildlife wandering outside the rooms.

Great place to stay. Close to the falls for a glimpse of natures magnificence. Good food at reasonable prices. Fabulous way to start the day with breakfast overlooking the waterhole. Unique style of accommodation. lovely, happy and helpful staff. This was our first stop in Africa and it exceeded our expectations. Make sure you see Moses in his vulture restaurant.

We would have given a rating of 5 except for a couple of irritating flaws. 1. Unless you need a connecting room, make sure that you are not assigned one. The door is not soundproof and the guests next to us didn’t know how to keep the volume of their non-stop babble down. We asked them several times politely, but they seemed to speak louder afterwards. 2. Unless you need a handicap bathroom, avoid a room with a roll in shower. Despite best efforts, we couldn’t avoid flooding the floor each time we showered as the plastic curtain didn’t reach the floor. On the other hand, the staff were lovely, overall the food was good and the pool a welcome relief from the heat. The animals coming to the lagoon for water was ever-changing and the vulture feeding was fascinating. We would highly recommend the lodge.

I recently visited VFSL for business for one night and was blown away by the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff I encountered. My accommodation was extremely comfortable and the view and activity at the waterhole sublime. A night at the Boma makes you feel like you are a part of Africa and was great fun

I booked a stay at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge as a finishing flourish at the end of a 22 day overland trip from Cape Town to Victoria Falls. I immediately felt like the staff wanted me to be there as they were extremely proactive in checking me in and helping me confirm my reservation for the evening at the Boma. The welcome cup of ice tea was such an elegant and refreshing touch. The staff is super kind and outgoing, as they greeted me in passing and asked how my stay was going. The room was beyond gorgeous and comfortable with full size amenities and the deep soaking bathtub was just what a person who has spent the prior two weeks on a dusty trip needed to feel relaxed and rejuvenated. Watching the sunset on the waterhole with a cup of tea was such a delightful way to end the day. Thank you most graciously to the staff of Victoria Falls Safari Lodge for such a lovely end to my travels in Africa!

The lodge is nicely located with the rooms facing a waterhole in the bush. The rooms are relatively clean but old furniture, carpet and amenities were somewhat discouraging. The meals were well prepared, good quality and tasty. I did not like the taste of the water provided in the rooms. The restaurant staff was very kind, professional and friendly. I personally enjoyed the Boma restaurant experience. I had some issues with my scheduled/pre-paid activities; either I was not listed or scheduled at wrong time or was asked to pay fees, which were already pre-paid. This was annoying but fixable. Overall it was a positive experience but not as great as in other places that I visited during my vacation.
