You wont be disappointed if you stay with Lorrie. Reasonable accommodation, great breakfast, real plunger coffee, a very homey feeling but allowing one's own independence, tree lined shady garden and tailor made itinerary. A few steps here and there into the house but garden staff/ security around to help with bags. Nice to learn from locals about their experiences through Zimbabwe economic downturns and crises. I realized that I couldn't walk to town but taxis were cheap and plentiful and provided local income so that wasn't a worry. Lorrie will also cook meals if you don't want to go out. My stay started before I arrived as Lorrie provided alternatives and helped me choose things to do with the short two day visit. She gave discount if I booked through her. Her advice was perfect..also the air transport to her place, the taxi drivers she suggested were a font of information. Its nice to help local Zimbabweans rather than the large commercial hotels. Being a bird watcher I enjoyed morning walks around her large tree lined yard seeing the beautiful African Paradise Silktail's nest and quick drinks from the swimming pool. She arranged Julian to take me for an early morning bird expedition but turned out to be animal friendly with mongoose, giraffes and young male elephants approached our vehicle for fantastic photos. I'd highly recommend him to assist bird watching tours. On her suggestion I walked along the falls, not needing a personal guide as places are well marked. If you want a low key independent experience and want your tourist dollar to help locals support this local business woman.

We spent our first night in Victoria Falls at Lorries B&B before a volunteer assignment nearby that started the next day. They arranged transportation for us from the airport to their place which went very smoothly. Upon arrival they immediately showed us to our room and explained all features available to us, and gave us a quick idea of everything within walking distance. We were fed a wonderful lasagna dinner, complete with ice cream for dessert, and after dinner we sat with the owners at the bar and had a drink, along with some wonderful conversation and tips on different activities to do in the area. The room and sleeping accommodations were very comfortable, followed by an excellent breakfast before checkout in the morning.
Overall a very good value, and a great place to stay and meet very nice people who repr sent Victoria Falls very well.

What a great place to base your Victoria Falls trip, Lorrie & Clive are fabulous hosts and are only too happy to help with arranging taxis, trips etc.
Rooms are spacious and comfortable and the garden is a perfect place to relax.
We originally booked for October 2020 but obviously had to rearrange and by the time we finally arrived meeting Lorrie & Clive felt like meeting up with friends!

We had a lovely weekend at Lorries, which is a home away from home. The food was delicious, and our children loved the garden and trampoline on offer. Very clean and maintained rooms, and relaxing which is great after a day in taxis! Lorrie is very helpful with activities, and transport suggestions and organising. Looking forward to our next visit!

Perfectly located. Lorrie and Clive were wonderful hosts and very accommodating. Always happy and willing to help us with anything we needed. We enjoyed having a few drinks with them at their very cosy pub in the evenings. Self catering cottage slept the 6 of us very comfortably and had all the necessary amenities and items for catering purposes. It was all we needed for the weekend. We were very happy and enjoyed our stay.

Stayed at Lorrie’s for 5 Nights and couldn’t recommend the place highly enough. Prior to even landing in Zimbabwe; Lorrie was extremely helpful in terms of how to use our time effectively & getting the correct Visa’s.
Real personalised experience and this is not something we have previously encountered when staying in the ‘more well known resorts’. If you’re looking for a real experience, surrounded by great people then this is the place for you.
Proper homely feel, good breakfast and a wealth of knowledge! Sure to stay here again.

Such a long time since we were at Lorries, probably 6-7 years. It has been refurbished and the rooms are comfortable and clean with all the necessary amenities. Good hot water for the shower. Aircon when needed and a mosquito net. There is a bar and lounge and breakfast and dinner are very good. Not too far from the town. Clive and Lorrie look after you very well and are good company for a natter. There is a bar with an honesty bar. Large garden with some interesting birds. 3 lovely dogs and a cat!!!! Staying again in October so must be good!!!

Wonderful place to stay. Nice pool and lots of sitting areas. Cozy home feeling. Good location, walking distance to the shops in Victoria Falls, but still far enough to be calm and peaceful. Friendly staff and very cute dogs. I travelled alone and felt very safe here.

I had no trouble communicating with them either.
Price is on this web site. Wife and i were very happy at Lorries as she arranged all our trips for us and a local taxis which was cheap and so convenient. Also the food was brill and a nice bar for a well earned drink after walking round the falls. Take an umbrella to the falls it gets really wet!!
