Stayed one night before flying home after travelling through South Africa, Botswana finishing up at Victoria Falls. Room was okay and clean - lighting was very dim and no place to charge phone - charger available in the bar. Shower produced a trickle of water - barely enough for a sketchy wash, let alone a shower. Breakfast was okay -...

I have visited Victoria Falls a couple of times over the past 20 years. Never knew about this place. Rooms are clean and you can see the little bit of detail and effort that is applied. Service is good. Bev ( manageress ) knows what she is doing. Swimming pool was a great cool down for the summer heat. Breakfast...

We did the Botswana tour with Drifters. Our guide told this tour was not for sissies and so it was : sleeping in tents in the cold Kalahari dessert (minus 5° in Africa), riding on bumpy roads etc. It was all part of the experience !! And it was a fantastic experience !! So when we came in this lodge...

We were dong the Vic Falls Festival and we not up for camping, mosquitoes and tents. Not in the rainy season and Vic falls the town being a huge game farm with elephants, monkeys and warthogs just chilling in the cut with the rest of us, no thanks. So we found the drifters lodge close to the town but politely...

the bunkhouses are only $9 night and located very close to the bar, which plays very loud music. great budget accommodation, though, and they helped us plan all of our activities! the bar is fun, too, and good location in that it's easy to walk everywhere.

This place was a welcome relief after 3 weeks on a camping tour! Lovely big room with an extremely comfortable bed and mosquito netting. The manager Bev is very helpful and made us feel welcome. The walk into town is approx 15mins. If walking is not your style, a cab can be called and costs around $US4-5. Breakfast is provided....and...

It was part of the tour I took with Drifter's and I had no choice but to stay here. Of course any bed is better than a tent but it is unfortunate Drifter's does not update this place. It does not have to be this bad. It is old and falling apart. But this ugly girl can't even get make-up....

We did a Southern Africa trip in December of 2012 and stayed at this lodge in the middle of the trip. The manager was incredibly rude to everyone on the trip with us, she treated us like we were an imposition to her by staying at the lodge. Overall we were very disappointed in all of the Drifter's managers throughout...

We have done a tour with drifters in South Africa in december 2012. We have stayed in multiple drifters lodges, witch were all unique, special and great. After our trip we took an extension to the Victoria Falls, were we also stayed in the drifters lodge, this was one of the least good drifters lodges we stayed at. The room...

Had 3 nights here. Beds comfy, rooms clean, breaky good. Able to organise tours easily. No wifi. Can walk to town, taxi is an easy trip. Due to elephants in town, (we didn't see any) u can't walk after dark. Good place to stay for a comfy, homely stay. ( no other meals avail other than breaky). Laundry service good,...
