Sarum Lodge is very clean, comfortable and value for your money. I loved the sheets 👍 spot on quality. The breakfast was also good. I found the room a bit small but for a night's stay it's fine. Will definitely come back.

I was a bit skeptical when I heard the cost of this establishment per night. I thought that at USD 35 per night it couldn't be anything special but I was pleasantly surprised. From the moment I walked into reception you can see that the building is clean and well maintained, staff is friendly and professional. Rooms are average sized, white bedding with tiled floors, flat screen tv with limited Dstv channels.. There's a kitchen & dining that can used by self catering guests. Gardens are beautiful. It's close enough to the city centre for convenience but fat enough to be sheltered from the busyness and craziness of a city like Harare. Booking Office Address: 13 Sarum Avenue, Eastlea. It is home far from home: very quiet place, nice huge villa. Staff are so friendly and cute! Tasty breakfast, wifi and tea/coffee during the day is free of charge! Room is not very big, but clean and light! I did not have problems with hot water! I liked to relax in the garden! I highly recommend this lodge, and of course if i need to stay at Harare i will stay at Sarum Lodge for sure!

I can only echo what the previous reviewer has written. I paid $47 per night, and its really a steal for what is offered. Clean, spacious rooms, well cooked breakfast, great hospitality, free wifi and located in a quiet area but close enough to the main city centre. If I ever need a place to stay in Harare, I won't need to go looking around again, I'll definitely return here.

I was in Harare on business for 5 days and chose this guesthouse because it was close to where I would be working. On arrival at 7pm we found the place in partial darkness as there was no power. This is not too unexpected in Harare these days but the property had a generator but staff were unwilling to turn it on in the belief that it would disturb guests. So, no lights in the rooms (not even candles) and no way to charge appliances. The rooms were comfortable and functional and the bathrooms had good showers. There was a flat screen TV in each room (not working of course) and tea and coffee making facilities in the corridor. Breakfast offered cereal and a cooked option which was tiny and invariably cold. The staff were friendly and helpful as far as they could be but the guy on duty appeared to be the receptionist, security and chef rolled into one, poor chap.Definitely needs to improve breakfast and staffing numbers and, of course, to use the generator!

Positive: Very clean and comfortable bed.Good for a night or two I'll say.

Negative: Breakfast was poor ( reheated fried egg and a spoon of beans) and staff on the day was unhelpful and cranky (This might be down to just this dude though). Also the location is near to nothing on foot but if you drive that's OK cos its about 7 mins to city centre.

Verdict: I'll stay here again "if" same guy is not on duty.

Looking for a quiet place close to the center? Sarum lodge might be your place to stay. The rooms are on the small side but modern and clean. The staff gives a homy feeling and is very accommodating. Breakfast is solid. Ample space for parking. Not like some of the fancy lodges in town but certainly better than many airbnb offers around.

Stayed here on three separate occasions during one vacation. The people were lovely and helped with every question. We felt very safe and the lodge was only about 20-25 mins from the airport. The lodge was very clean! They provided breakfast, soap, shampoo and you can also do laundry.

Sarum Lodge is very clean, safe and secure. The Team is very efficient and professional. Always ready to assist and go the extra mile with a cheerful smile. I stayed there for 4 nights and found the location very convenient as it was quite close to where i was working from. It is very reasonably priced and i enjoyed the tranquility and beautiful landscaping. Tea and coffee was easily available (self service ) though i think having this in the room would be more convenient for a late cup of tea when needed rather than walking out to the tea station.
