The selection of items in the room service menu is very smal, and the print is even smaler. Otherwise a great hotel, and probably the best hotel in Zimbabwe. Any 5 star hotel would be proud of the staff at the hotel. They know their trade and deserve praise.
Excellent staff willing to go an extra mile. Well received Five stars. Staff were quick to pick up calls and respond to requests within a short period of time Treatment was excellent. Treated with respect and needs met
The Meikles is a beautiful hotel with wonderful staff, catering and comfortable rooms. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Harare for business or leisure. - Daniel Lasker
Meikles is a home away from home with all the comfort that one needs to pamper themselves. Its a fantastic place situated right in the center of Harare city. The Team is fabulous , they really make your stay as comfortable as possible . The food delicious . Its the place to visit. Will be back again😃
Very good hotel in Harare !! Well positioned, nice and well equipped rooms, great food both at breakfast and in the restaurant professional, helpful and very kind staff hotel recommended especially for business travelers
Top hotel, good location, good food (be it breakfast, lunch or dinner) and friendly staff. Spacious, clean rooms and generally quiet despite renovations that were going on. Highly recommend for a comfortable and memorable stay in Harare, Zimbabwe
The hotel service is very good, the room very formidable with top service. The breakfast needs some variation in order to cater to customers who have another reality. The price is a little high which does not facilitate the realization of the other two meals.
We always stay at Meikles when we are on business in Zimbabwe. The atmosphere is charming and the staff remember us by name. They go above and beyond, whatever we request. It is being renovated at the moment, but it didn't disturbe our stay in any way. The food is excellent. If you want luxury, book a room in the new wing. We love this place and can't wait to return soon!
Hôtel staff extremely friendly. Good location and room very comfortable and quiet It would be nice if the bar could open later. Breakfast choice descent. Restaurant choice limited. Refurbishment in progress
The staff are wonderful but the hotel needs to be updated to live up to its reputation. The food is well overpriced (18 usd per person for traditional African lunch buffet) and the decor is rather…. Colonial in nature which might make some uncomfortable though that is the history of the place. Breakfast buffet was good but we were not advised of the price (>25usd per person) until after. We should have asked Our room had a used nail file on the table upon arrival and a good amount of stains on carpet and chairs. Not a big deal but not what I expect at a “five star hotel” One more mention for the staff- very friendly and professional
