From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. All the rooms are bungalows, in a beautiful garden setting, spacious and with everything you need. The team were so helpful, organising taxis for us to go exploring, bringing us tea in the garden after a long journey - essentially whatever we needed they bent over backwards to enhance our stay - and everyone was always smiling and happy.

The York Lodge is very comfortable, if not luxurious. The grounds are impeccable, the food is delicious, staff are attentive and friendly but not overbearing, and the rooms are spotless. Max and Mica, the two resident dogs, made our stay even warmer. If I have the chance to return for business, we will definitely stay here again. If I'm lucky enough to come for vacation- the York Lodge will be our landing spot, without a doubt!

Set in a quiet neighbourhood in the suburbs of Harare, in well maintained, pretty gardens, with clean comfortable chalet style accommodation, York Lodge has a relaxed atmosphere and is an easy place to stay away from the centre of Harare. Suppers were tasty and filling, if a little over priced at $30 pp.

I love this place. It's clean and quiet, and the staff and owners are super friendly and courteous. I've been there several times before, and I will come back when I'm in Harare again, that's for sure.

Very nice guest house with a nice garden and big confortable rooms , mattress is wonderfull with heating system. Service and kindness of the staff and managers are amazing. I had a really great time there.

A very comfortable place to stay, with a beautiful garden to relax in if you don't want to explore Harare. The buffet-styles meals for dinner offered good options, and there was plenty of food to go around all the guests. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and gave us a late check-out given that our flight was not until later in the afternoon. A very relaxing place to stay!
