Beautiful old style hotel with rare old fashioned standards. Luckily they also have budget rooms which when brightened up & simplified, will be ideal.
Great b/fast but generally the food is fresh & well cooked which is rare nowadays. Quite reasonably priced.
Excellent salads- I ate after I saw the management having one for lunch!

We spent three nights here and loved it. This place was beautiful. Well maintained, immaculate grounds, two pools, a bar, a restaurant, and lovely, friendly, and helpful staff. Every room has a lovely view. We were facing the front garden with a fish pond and it was so peaceful and relaxing. Every unit has a balcony and large bedroom doors to let the outside in. The bedrooms are very clean and come equipped with coffee, tea, water, soap, shampoo, etc.

There are grocery stores, shops, and restaurants within a five minute walk. Or you can walk the beautiful grounds of the hotel itself.

We would highly recommend the Bronte Hotel for a peaceful getaway.

The hotel itself, its rooms, enviros are immaculate! The check-in service was great and efficient! The most outstanding staff were check-in staff. They indeed do set the tone for guests as they give the first impression. Well done front desk!
Rooms were clean, with comfy beds and good AC. Bathrooms were also very good and clean.
The reason I did not give a 5 out of 5 is because of restaurant staff. Does not seem like they have a common work ethic. Some are very helpful and others seem like they have been forced to be at work. Example: We went down to breakfast and I decided to grab my plate. I asked the lady who was dishing out food if I could get an omelette and she said yes but I would need to order from one of the waiters and it would take 5-10 minutes. Since they had a bit of scrambled egg left, I decided to get a spoon of scrambled eggs on my plate. When I got to my table, I saw a waitress and tried to order an omelette from her. She literally looked down my plate and said "you already got eggs and you can't get both types, it's either or". I was buffled by that, wondering why did I pay for 2 full rooms with breakfast included when someone has to look down my plate and dictate what I can/cannot have! I did not even take all the other stuff that was served but I did wish for an omelette. I did without, but it left a very sour taste in my mouth. Afterall it was buffet! I travel a lot and this is the first time I have met such an arrogant attitude from a waitress. Other than that, my stay was fantastic!

I highly recommend this hotel. It is great for business travellers and otherwise.
The rooms are clean and comfortable and the restaurant and bar are also great.
WiFi quality is also relatively good and one is able to hold online meetings without worrying about the signal dropping

Stayed three nights recently. I had booked two double rooms via email two months in advance. Never got a booking confirmation (my mistake!) but email conversation was very clear on that everything was set. Upon arrival my booking wqs not in the system, causing unnecessary stress. Front desk staff first wanted to put us in the lesser wing across the street - why I don't know, when rooms turned out to be available in the main hotel building. Not a good start!

Anyways, the grounds are very well-kept and beautiful, and so are the colonial style buildings. The rooms however lack character. Sure there is enough space for two persons and all expected amenities can be found, but they don't live up to expectation set by the rest of the premises. Breakfast was average at best. Not a whole lot of selections.

Driving to Harare, we found parking at Bronte a hassle. There are not enough spaces inside the boom gate, because many outsiders coming for dinner or sundowners are car-borne. I'd like to suggest that a portion of the parking spaces were reserved for hotel guests, thank you!

I was impressed by The Bronte. The facilities are modest and well-kept, my room was quiet except for a bit of street noise (can't be helped as it’s downtown), and nearly all the staff I encountered were very warm and welcoming. I most enjoyed sitting on my room balcony overlooking the beautiful grounds dotted with Zimbabwean scuplture, and having lunch on the patio (facing the beautiful grounds). A nice respite from the bustle of the city.

it is good place to stay for business. Your housekeeping operations are responsible for an important part of the guest experience: your property’s cleanliness. When guests leave a review of their stay, the cleanliness of the room and public areas is a major defining factor of their guest review score.

Over two years since I stayed at the Bronte and am delighted to be back. The hotel grounds are looking magnificent - lovely areas to sit back and relax as well as giving a good first impression of the hotel on arrival.
The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful - the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable with all necessary amenities.
Breakfast was good with plenty choice and the bar facilities are good albeit on Sunday night we were only able to sit outside the bar with waiter service and it does turn chilly in the evening.
I have no hesitation in recommending the Bronte - great venue.

I stayed at the Bronte Hotel for over a week with a group that I was traveling with.
Firstly, the ground of the hotel are beautiful. It is like walking into a garden oasis with Sculptures and Koi ponds and birds everywhere. Roses and Bird of paradise abound. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and clean. The staff is amazing. There is nothing that they won't assist you with easily, and with a smile. Everybody made you feel welcome and appreciated. The food at the restaurant, was very good. Breakfast was always fresh and cooked to your tastes. There were cereals, hot oatmeal, eggs any way you want and fresh bakes pastries. fruit, etc. Coffee from a french press to your table. There was lunch and hot food snacks during the day, and dinner was more than good. The soups were homemade and delicious. If you do not want to go to a restaurant, you certainly will get a absolutely good meal at the hotel. They also have a bar.The wait staff is wonderful.
this is just an excellent hotel for business, pleasure, bring the kids, they can run around the place safely hotel. the security is excellent and they always get you a safe taxi when needed.
Feel safe and secure here and enjoy a truly wonderful stay in Harare at the Bronte.

The service from reception to waiters is exceptional, the ability to sit in lovely gardens for morning coffee and afternoon tea is a definite bonus. The menu choices for lunch and dinner at the Palms restaurant are not extensive but the food is very good. The rooms are comfortable with garden views

Yes they do have dryers, in fact a very good brand dryer though i do not remember the name of the brand but i know that i was impressed last time i used it.. Bronte thrives on service delivery, even if you need something that is not readily available, their housekeeper will ensure that you get the best possible assistance.
