The hotel is simple and inexpensive. AC and hot water. Good Wifi connection. The restaurant gets very busy in the evenings with Tunisian men drinking lots of beer. The neighborhood is relatively quiet. I had left some books in my room and unfortunately, one of the cleaning ladies decided to keep my Birds of Europe and North Afria book. Once... More

The old Saint-Georges has taken some knocks on this page recently, not all of them (based on my experience) deserved. I'd like to set the record straight, though of course not as straight as the owners would like. Accordingly, some of the remarks below refer indirectly to other recent comments. PROS : fast and reliable Wifi -- reasonably polite service... More

Not for the faint of heart, this ageing hotel really needs to be put out of its misery! Cons: 1. Location This place is stuck out in the middle of suburbia and is at least a 40-minute walk to the medina. (As an obvious foreigner, you take taxis at your own risk: either the flag fall is set too high... More

This place is a dump. Most hostels are better. Looks clean but there was a big fat cockroach living in my room with me. Wifi barely worked and often was down. Hot water usually arrived after my shower was done. Thousands of cigarettes are smoked downstairs every evening and the smoke fills the guest rooms as well. Every day the... More

An old-fashioned hotel, where the staff are friendly and attentive to clients' needs. Room rates are cheaper if one books directly with the hotel (!!) - I hadn't! Room furnishings are basic (the TV is the smallest I've seen in a long time!) but free wifi works very well. The breakfast - included in the rate - is also basic... More

this hotel is clean and located in the very heart of tunis, this position is excellent if you want to discover the city. it's cheap, but if you book directly in the hotel is even cheaper and you always have breakfast included in the price. the waiters and the receptionists are very kind. you can choose between a room with... I found St George Tunis Hotel to be very friendly with enough english speaking staff to make my stay a very postive event.. There was nothing that I felt should be criticised and I would certainly stay there again. The room was spacious and tidy, the attached bathroom was also spacious. There is no lift but the staff carried my... More
