We had a good stay here. The rooms and whole hotel are a little tired but good value. The food was good and the entertainment at night great fun as the kitchen staff presented some local songs. Pool very nice, though watch the monkeys by the pool which steal the food from your plate if you are not looking! The...

We only spent one night in the lodge, and might have enjoyed a longer time to explore the pool area and comfortable lounges, but enjoyed our stay nonetheless. The staff was attentive and friendly, food quite good,(although buffet), and the setting it fantastic. Elephants strolling all around added to the ambience. Wifi was a bit slow, but frankly, that isn't...

It is definitely out of the way but listening to the wildlife after dark well worth it. Do watch out for Tse Tse flies but the nets and the spraying in the room was important. Typical of Sopa Lodges with good staff and food

Nice hotel, but not worth its price! The rooms are big, and the view is good. But dinner could be improved. Lunch boxes could vary (the same box being given every day). And especially, the rooms could be refurbished: too old, clearly! As it is outside of the main area of the Serengeti Park for games, you end up losing...

Was there with my wife and daughter. My daughter got food poisoning and have to stay in without electricity. No wifi in rooms. Hot water only at certain times. No electricity after 12 midnight to 5 in the morning. There is a torch. If you are in distress or in an emergency you have to run to the reception, which...

This lodge sits in the middle of the conservation area with no fence to shield you from the wildlife. The up side is that you get to see them close up (lots of antelopes right at your balcony) The down side is that the many monkeys know where the bags of sugar are in the room and if you leave...

A great hotel to stay after a hectic day in the Serengeti National Park. Be prepared to have no television, telephone or wifi in the rooms, otherwise well proportioned. Its clean and tidy. The staff a friendly and you have good facilities in the common areas. Drinks are extremely expensive including bottled water

We stayed for 2 night and had a great time. The rooms are very big and comfortable, 5 stars bed. From the terrace we could see some animals. Hot water 3 hours during the evening and morning, the shower could be better. Food was very good, including lunch box we took. The staff is absolutely great, warm and willing to...

We had 1 night at the Serengeti Sopa Lodge in Oct on our way back to Arusha, Sopa is wonderful for a transit. The lodge itself is built into the side of a hill, staff are friendly and meals are buffet style & plentiful. Game viewing around the are was not much!

The monkeys on the front balcony loomed early in the morning to beg for food and the bag staff waited at the door to take your bags to reception. Have your US$ tip money ready for the staff. The prefaced lunch was not refrigerated so do not trust the salad rolls or yoghurt, which led to a lot of wastage...
