We stayed at all of the Sopa Lodges during our trip around Tanzania, and whilst they were all excellent this one was my favourite. The staff were fantastic, they can't seem to do enough for you! The food was really good - you definitely don't go hungry here! (We had packed lunches and used the restaurant). The location and views...

As we were driving up the hill to the lodge, we passed a leopard in a tree, just as if she was waiting to welcome us to the lodge. The welcome staff were excellent. Our room/balcony looked right over the Serengeti plain. There were two buffallos and a waterbuck right outside, feeding. Can't get any better than this. I could...

We stayed here as part of our Safari. The rooms were very good, and a very large bathroom. There is a time slot for the hot water for showering but it is 3 hours in the morning and again at night. It worked well for us the water was there in the morning before we left and back on when...

We arrived in time for lunch, sitting in the balcony watching a herd of elephants graze below us was just wonderful. We stayed two nights, the rooms were large and clean. The food was very good although a bit of a hike from the dinning room. The staff seemed friendly.

This is at best a 2-star hotel. It's shamefully overpriced it felt like robbery. Four issues: 1. Terrible location – The lodge is a one-hour drive away from central Serengeti. There isn't a lot to see during the drive either, since you drive through an area with lots of trees and can't see much. You basically just waste two hours...

We had a good stay here. The rooms and whole hotel are a little tired but good value. The food was good and the entertainment at night great fun as the kitchen staff presented some local songs. Pool very nice, though watch the monkeys by the pool which steal the food from your plate if you are not looking! The...

We only spent one night in the lodge, and might have enjoyed a longer time to explore the pool area and comfortable lounges, but enjoyed our stay nonetheless. The staff was attentive and friendly, food quite good,(although buffet), and the setting it fantastic. Elephants strolling all around added to the ambience. Wifi was a bit slow, but frankly, that isn't...

It is definitely out of the way but listening to the wildlife after dark well worth it. Do watch out for Tse Tse flies but the nets and the spraying in the room was important. Typical of Sopa Lodges with good staff and food

Nice hotel, but not worth its price! The rooms are big, and the view is good. But dinner could be improved. Lunch boxes could vary (the same box being given every day). And especially, the rooms could be refurbished: too old, clearly! As it is outside of the main area of the Serengeti Park for games, you end up losing...
