I was in room 75, which is one of the farthest from the main part of the lodge. I actually enjoy this, because there are fewer people to disrupt the wildlife. I was able to see lots of hyrexes and bright blue lizards (everyone did) but there were also impala and dik diks outside my room, which I enjoyed. Very...

Just minutes from reaching the lodge we saw our first tree climbing lions! The lodge itself was very nice. It has stunning views of the Serengeti from the bar area, restaurant and pool. One evening we could see 2 lions from the lodge. We also heard hyenas at night and a tower of giraffes were eating outside of our room....

Oh, here we go," said my husband when one of the friendly staff called him papa. He thought the worker was referring to his age before we learned that papa and mama were akin to sir and ma'am in parts of Africa. The view from our balcony was spectacular and teeming with animals just as were those from the pool...

The lodge is beautiful with a wonderful view. There is wifi in the common areas, that works African Style. The staff is polite, but not friendly and their English left some to be desired. The was an atmosphere that made me feel somewhat out of place. The food was ok.

From the lovely welcome through all of the facilities this is a very good Hotel. Excellent staff that all work together to give you a one team experience. Add to that the views of the Serengeti and this hotel is a winner.

Excellent service by their staff, eversmiling, unique ambience - lot of photo opportunities. The rooms/ cottage itself are unique. Facilities, whatever you require is provided. Since it is in jungle, in early morning & evenings, a staff member accompanies you to restaurant and back.

This was my favourite lodge from my recent safari. The staff here are excellent, always friendly, polite and happy to help. Huge rooms with a stunning view, good food and a great pool and bar area. We felt very welcome here. There are a few negative reviews around the location not supporting much wildlife which made me question whether I'd...

We stayed at all of the Sopa Lodges during our trip around Tanzania, and whilst they were all excellent this one was my favourite. The staff were fantastic, they can't seem to do enough for you! The food was really good - you definitely don't go hungry here! (We had packed lunches and used the restaurant). The location and views...

As we were driving up the hill to the lodge, we passed a leopard in a tree, just as if she was waiting to welcome us to the lodge. The welcome staff were excellent. Our room/balcony looked right over the Serengeti plain. There were two buffallos and a waterbuck right outside, feeding. Can't get any better than this. I could...
