We spent 3 nights here in June using Asilia as our guides for game drives through this part of the Serengeti. This was our first experience under canvas on safari and we were a little unsure what to expect. The tent exceeded our expectations. Fully plumbed in toilet and sink, huge comfortable bed and views to die for….Even the bucket shower was in reality quite sufficient; just be aware that for the staff a shower after dark have added risk, as they are outside the tent, so be mindful of their safety and only shower when there is daylight. We had great food at every meal, with lots of choice and special dishes for the non meat eaters (as soon as they were aware I didn’t eat meat) with delicious Tilapia and Tuna on different nights. The chef was very very good! Everyone was really friendly and could not do enough to ensure you had a great stay, with a bonfire each night for a pre dinner beer whilst watching the sun go down with some tasty nibbles.…
I couldn't believe how good the accommodation was at this came. Our tent had a shower and toilet as well as our bed, and the wonderful staff conjured up the most amazing meals given the isolation of the location. It was always a joy to come back to camp after a day out on safari.
Stayed for 3 nights in the Kati Kati Tented Camp in the Serengeti last week. An amazing experience. The staff were second to none. The food was amazing and the tents were very comfortable. Definitely recommend it.
I dont know where to begin and where to end. Our stay at katikati was amazing. Kalulu and his team are very funny and such wonderful hosts. The dinner was so delicious, we could not get enough. Especially the chicken and lamb. We also have improved our Suaheli with Kalulu. The view over the Ndutu Lake is amazing, the fire place also known as "Bush TV" was so cute. The beds are super comfortable, preferably hard. Good for the back. In the main tent there is a charging station for your devices. The sound arround the tented camp of the birds and other animals makes you feel that you are really in the mid of Serengeti. We could arrange the lunch package by ourselves. We wish that we could have stayed another night.. Asante Sana. Guaheri na Tutaonana
We overnighted here after a balloon ride in the Serengeti. This tent camp is close to the Seronera River area where we saw lions, crocodile, leopard, and hippos. The camp has a fabulous cook who worked wonders with the food. The tents were basic. Hot showers are a matter of reserving a time when the staff comes to fill the bucket with hot water. Just like 'Out of Africa'. This lodge, as any in the Serengeti is pricey!
In the heart of Central Serengeti, this tented camp offers a safe and comfortable accommodation with as much luxury as can be carried that far into the bush. Delicious food, solid and clean tents - there is nothing to be missed. The very friendly and helpful staff will always be around to make your stay special.
We liked the Kati Kati in Seronera very much, we stayed at Makoma 2 (they have different locations). The manager is super friendly and so is the rest of the staff. You are very close to nature and yet your tent is simple but has everything you will need. We liked the comfy bed and how the evening breeze could get in (we kept the 'windows' partly open at night) . the tent was very clean and when you want to have a shower they heat up the water for you. Lovely experience. In the night you will hear hyenas and lions. We love that!!! One evening when we were escorted to our tent we came across 3 elephants. And there was also a 'house hyena' daily around. But she was more scared for us... Bush fire was great and the wine was not expensive and very good. Beer and soft drinks were also very affordable. We enjoyed the dinners as well, always a choice for everyone. Breakfast and lunch we took daily with us in boxes and we liked it that we could choose ourselves, that way you get what you like and don't have to throw any food away. The location was good for the drives we wanted to make, a bit further from Seronera river but we liked that, that also ment it was more quit and relaxed. We spotted so many animals very close to the camp. Lions, cheetas, the migration was closeby, lions with 7 small cubs: we had the time of our lives!!!…
Kati kati camp is the most authentic way to rest during a safari journey. Happy hour around the fire. Cooked dinner under the tent. Good night sleep under savana sounds and breeze. Staff is very nice and everything is done to make the experience unforgettable. Thanks again to all the kati kati team!
We stayed 2 nights in the Mara Kati Kati Tented Camp and it was amazing. Imaging you wake up in the night and you hear a Zebra eating grass very close to you. Next day you open the tent and behind your tent there is a herd of Elephants and you watch the other side of the hill and you see thousands of Gnus. Very impressive and unforgettable. Also watching Gnu's crossing Mara river is something I have never seen before. The tents were huge and as they move the location every couple of months it did not had fixed installations. Dinner, breakfast and the staff created an unforgettable atmosphere. A really good top choice for the last days of the Safari.
My husband and I stayed here for one night while on safari. Let me just say, that this place was absolutely incredible. You are in the heart of the Serengeti with no fences around you. We were immediately greeted by attentive and friendly staff. The tents were extremely spacious with your own bathroom and shower. The views from the room were amazing, we saw a wonderful sunset right before one of the coolest rainstorms I've ever been in. The food was absolutely delicious and the servers were very attentive. We definitely understood why you needed an escort once it got dark; we could hear a lion and hyena outside our room all night. Such an awesome experience!
