LEMALA EWANJAN is an intimate authentic camp with 12 beautiful suite tents set within the game-rich Seronera Valley in a secluded part of Central Serengeti. The camp offers breathtaking views of the Serengeti plains and its prolific wildlife and sunsets. The Seronera valley is renowned for its year round game viewing due to its abundance of water, as well as its large population of resident cats. Between April and June and November through January the area receives the wildebeest migration, turning the area into an exciting wildlife paradise.

This was an amazing camp. This Is Africa! Lots of game around the camp. Hearing lions roar at night made my trip! The staff is so friendly and goes out of their way to make your stay perfect. Big John runs a great camp. I hope we can go back some day.

Our stay here was fantastic. The staff was friendly and always helpful. The main tent had extremely comfortable chairs and couches for relaxing and using WiFi and the food and drinks were good. The tents were comfortable. Our drive guide, Semel, was an expert at finding animals in the grass and trees and was very knowledgeable about each one. He shared interesting information without us always having to ask. We saw leopards and cheetahs plus a wide variety of other animals.

A great tented camp with very good food and lovely staff. Good place to see many animals. Lions, Leppards, zebras, gnus and many birds. At night you can hear the lions roar and the hyena laugh. But you are safe in the big nice tent. Beware of the Tsetse-flies in the daytime!

This was our last stop on our whirlwind 2 week Safari adventure in Tanzania. It was a beautiful camp, clean, comfortable and the food was terrific. The staff was very attentive to us and we felt very safe and welcome. It was in a perfect location for our Central Serengeti game drive. We were away from the crowds and saw so many animals! We even had "private" time with a pride of lions having zebra for breakfast. I would highly recommend this camp to anyone traveling to the Serengeti.

The staff make the place, they could not have been more friendly or helpful. The food was excellent and the location perfect, I had gazelle wandering past my tent in the morning! I was expecting a bit of roughing it but the tents were incredibly comfortable. We just wished we were there longer.

This is a beautiful setting with lovely sunsets and the usual attentive Lamala staff. The migration was at Ndutu. Any animals here were harder to find but having seen so many we were not disappointed. Having breakfast looking out on to Impala, buffalo and hyena was special. This is a much quieter camp. Not so much animal noise and very relaxing. Flying out of the Serengeti was an experience. Forget what you are used to at international airports. Beautiful rock formations rise up from the plains and are home to leopards. Worth an early start to spot them.

Where to start... Flew in to serona airport, picked up by Ilena who would be our guide for the next three days (she was amazing, very knowledgeable, knew the best routes, and locations with highest chance of viewing animals) on the way to camp stopped off to see hippos, and a lucky spot for a leopard up a tree. The camp, we have stayed in lodges before and this was our first tent, we weren't sure what to expect, we needn't have worried as it was amazing, their is a very different feel to a tent, feels much more part of the environment and closer to everything, the tents are spacious, luxurious and beautiful decks around them, flushing toilets and hot showers with no issue... Just ask and they arrive with the talking shower, no matter what time it weather, our room attendant was fabulous and only a walkie talkie away for anything we wanted. Food and drink.. quality and quantity was for us, perfect, breakfast choice of hot or cold, cooked to order, lunch when at camp was a lovely salad with chicken, and dinner is a 3 course set menu, whilst there is no choice unless requested or dietary requirement catered for we loved every mouth full, with lovely wine and beer and ample spirits if wanted. Wee even had a campfire meal for 2 which we had no idea about, was stunning, with a guide staying with you just to keep an eye out.. he pointed out 2 fisi (he taught us the name for hyena I Swahili) but it felt perfectly safe. Later that night back in bed you can hear all the animals, with some very noisy lions just outside, again feel very connected to the animals but safe knowing the Masi are looking after the camp day and night. Game drives.. stayed 3 nights had mini one from the airport, then an evening one for 2 hrs, next day was a half day then another 2 hrs in the evening final day, full day out from 7 am till 6.30, (be prepared for bush toilet.. jeep wheel and you will be fine) A lovely packed lunch of salads, meats fruit and cake. the game viewing was excellent, best we saw as migration was on the way through, as such lots of predators were about, as always sightings are luck and skill of driver.. we had both on our side, lots of lions (20 in one day) cheetah with cubs, leopard x 2. and the list could go on. Never rushed and in our experience a lot quieter than other areas we have been, the leopard spotting was us and 1 other jeep who left after 10 mins, leaving us to enjoy the leopard to ourselves. Camp staff outstanding each and every one, whilst I would name check it would do others a disservice as all were excellent with nothing too much bother. We will be back!

Very comfortable and luxurious tents in the middle of Serengeti !! Cannot recommend this enough. Even though we were in the middle of the forest, the tents are equipped with all amenities. The chef there is amazing, who made sure all our dietary needs were taken care of. Staff is really friendly. Swale took care of “Talking shower” and that was the best part for the kids !!

African Travel Resource organized our 2022 Christmas adventure with our children and grand children and booked us at the Lamla Ewanjan Tented Camp. It was a wonderful experience for all. The chef is fabulous, each meal was delicious. The staff is helpful and welcoming. The tents are clean and well provisioned. The talking showers are an experience in themselves. it is exciting to hear the lions and hyenas prowling around the tents at night. The game drives from this location were excellent.

We loved our stay at Lemala Camp! The staff was so friendly and welcoming to our family. We loved coming back to the camp each day and sitting by the fire pit with a glass of wine. Our accommodations were very comfortable and the food was great. We heard lions at night one evening. Truly an unforgettable stay!
