My husband and I had the great pleasure to stay at Dunia Camp during our recent safari in the Serengeti. Upon arrival at the camp, we were greeted by the wonderful women of the camp with lively song and dance, refreshing face towels and drinks and overflowing warmth and smiles. The camp is located in a breathtakingly beautiful and private... More

My husband, grandson and I were treated to two spectacular nights and three days to the wonderful hospitality of the wonderful, competent women who manage and operate Dunia Camp. From the special warm welcome of song and dance to the dinner around the fire in the evening, followed by more song and dance, we could not have had a more... More

I'm usually very lazy in reviewing places, but had to make the effort for Dunia. Simply AN AMAZING PLACE. Stayed in two other camps during my safari trip through the Serengeti + Ngorongoro, Dunia was by far the best!!! It's simply BEAUTIFUL, the staff (all women) literally go above and beyond in making sure you are content, the food was... More

They did everything possible to make a seasoned safari travelers experience memorable. Their attention to detail was above and beyond the call of duty. I have been going on safari to both East & Southern Africa for for over 40 years. This is one of the best camps that I have ever stayed at. Thank you "Angie Baby".

Kudos to Asilia for piloting a safari camp managed, operated, and beautifully executed by women! A key to empowering and unlocking career paths in tourism, nature guiding, and hospitality for local women -- we were proud to contribute to Asilia's plans to create new opportunities. The team was first rate all around. We were warmly greeted with smiles, dancing, and... More

From the first minutes until the minutes we left the camp, there was not a single dull moment. We only stay for one night on our way to Ngorogoro. The food was prepared with local community in mind, chef was creative, and taste was amazing. Our room was very comfortable. We can see how much thought s was put into... More

I have reviewed twice before about Dunia Camp and I love it now as much as I always have. Property wise the camp is back to feeling wild! The vegetation that was disturbed during last years small move has grown back. Now you can once again listen at night to the crunch of the grass and the snap of limbs... More

Having arrived after a disappointing experience involving smoke and controlled fires at a sister camp (refer to my review of Ubuntu Camp), the clean air surrounding Dunia Camp was a welcome change of pace. However, aside from the smoke-free air, Dunia Camp was a far better experience relative to Ubuntu. A permanent camp situated about an hour drive from the... More

Dear Globetrotting Tarheel, Thank you for sharing a detailed review about your stay at Dunia camp and to our sisters camp. Happy you enjoyed your stay here although at night you had a hiccup, with the lion's outside your tent. This is what we call staying close to nature!
