I took my father here as part of his 70th birthday trip to Tanzania. The camp is charmingly rustic and it's truly out "in the bush", which is why we chose it. Great guides, staff, food, drinks and game drives. We shared a vehicle with a couple and their daughter from Brazil during our stay, but it seems that if... More

Serengeti Under Canvas was a great experience for us, we just loved everything. If you want to be very close to nature, this is the right place! Our guide was excellent! Always right time and right moment, so that we had an amazing day with big 5 game drive and river crossing...amazing! The whole andBeyond staff was warm and friendly... More

Being inside the park gives you a great advantage for game viewing, especially early In the morning or just before sundown when there are fewer vehicles in the park. In early September the wildebeest were there by the thousands, which means the hunters are in heaven (we saw two lion kills in the early evening). You can see all the... More

I can't put into words how amazing the camp and staff were. Our andBeyond guide was incredible. From the moment we arrived at the camp to the moment we left we were treated so well and were catered to at every turn. This was the camp that we were the most concerned as it was an outdoor bucket shower and... More

Of all of the safari camps we stayed in, this was the most "in touch with nature." It is a mobile camp that actually follows the migration throughout the year, staying no more than a few months in any one place. They are required to have no impact (i.e., there can be no trace of them having been there when... More

Don´t get me wrong, if you want true Africa, this is it. But if you hate bugs and critters, want an endless shower and tile floors, look elsewhere. This is the BEST you will get to rustic, timeless Africa but be prepared to have bucket showers, spiders and small bugs around and, best of all, the true sound of wild... More

Are you looking for a glamorous camping experience that is completed with delicious food, beautiful scenery, wonderful coffee served each morning to your tent, hot showers and superb service? If so then look no more. I love the outdoors and consider myself a hard core camper, being happy with only the basics, but this would make even the lightest of... More

What a great experience! From the camp, we got to see the migration and the wildlife generally in the Serengeti was amazing. Our guide, Moses, was great and Baraka, the camp manager was very warm and friendly. The food was surprisingly excellent (pretty amazing what they can do at a temporary camp). The tents, bucket showers, etc., all were great.... More

Everyone here was so warm and friendly, they went out of their way to make us feel at home. Christian was amazing to us and set up a private dinner outside our tent with a bonfire. What we loved about Serengeti Under Canvas was that we got to spend more time just observing specific animals since we had the jeep... More

From the moment we were picked up at Grumeti air strip by Andrew our guide and ranger who then took us on our first game drive, we couldn't have written a script so perfect! The migration had arrived two days prior to us and it was such an amazing spectacle of sheer numbers of Wildebeest (+3 million!) driving back to... More
