We found Upepo Garden to be the perfect place to relax, unwind, enjoy a morning coffee, beautiful sunrise 😍🌞, afternoon beer, and evening yummy lobster.😋🦞 Since day 1 til day 5 of staying in upepo we always get up early in the morning like 6am just to witness the spectacular sunrise 😍 (check out the pictures) There was one time also, while walking on the beach we found some seafood like crabs and the chef in Upepo they cook the crabs for me eventhough its not on their menu. 😍😋☺😁 And while everything about the place itself was fabulous the part we most enjoyed was the charm and very warm hospitality of all the staff. We felt like we're just at home and not on vacation 😁☺ Thank you Kiki (the owner), James, and all the rest of the staff at Upepo Gardens for the memorable stay! ❤

Can highly recommend to stay at Upepo Garden and also have them plan your visit to Tanzania. Everything has been so well prepared and planned! Staff is very nice, polite an helpful! 😍 Couldn’t ask for more ❤️ We stayed at Upepo Garden two nights and made excursions in to the city where our guide took us to the different local markets🐟🥑🍍🥥 He helped bargaining, and we made good deals 😉 They organized a Safari-trip where we drove to Selous, and stayed at Selous River Camp. We did a river safari, a morning walk in the woods and two full days of game drive. Saw lots of animals, though not as many as we had hoped for due to fact that it has been raining a lot🦒🦓🐘🐊🦛🐿🦎🐜🐌🦉🦅From Selous we flew to Zanzibar, where we spent two amazing days at Emerson Hurumzi in Stonetown. Had the best lunches and dinners, and the rooms were a dream! We he last three nights we spent at Blue Oyster directly on the beach on the east coast of Zanzibar. Everything has been planned so well and have worked out perfectly fine. We have felt perfectly taken care of since our arrival. Again, higly recommended!!

Perfect for relaxing if you want to stay at a place away from noise in city center. You need a taxi to center which they help you with. It takes 45-60 minutes. Wonderfull staf and good food. Nice garden but no pool. Water outside is quite brown but the locals swim in it.

We spent our last evening in Tanzania at Upepo Garden guesthouse. After 18 days of traveling and safari, we wanted a quiet oceanfront place to relax before we flew out of Dar Es Salaam the next evening. When I asked our TO for boutique lodging instead of a beachfront Ramada, he immediately recommended Upepo Garden. Wonderful guesthouse! Friendly, helpful staff; lovely clean air conditioned rooms and comfortable beds; excellent food; and a beautiful, cozy oceanfront patio area to relax. They can arrange transportation to/from the airport, for shopping, beach excursions, and more. We were happy to relax on the patio, have a drink at the bar, and spend time with friends that came to visit . A perfect ending to a great trip!

Located on the beach just outside Dar es Salaam. Quiet and calm, right on the beach! Lovely guesthouse with a personal service. Rooms are personal decorated, nice bed and bathroom. Great food and a superb breakfast. Highly recommended if you want a beautiful and quiet place with personal service. They also arrange safari and other trips (Upepo Safari), and is very relaxing to start or end you safari at Upepo Garden. Close to Mbudya island for a perfect day on a paradise beach. The owners (and all the staff) are very helpful in arranging your trip.

Every staff member we came in contact with was warm and treated us like family - from the moment we were picked up at the airport late in the evening, I knew we made the right choice. It was a wonderful visit for my family of 4 (two adults & two children) for 3 nights. Our stay was honestly like a home away (very far away!) from home. Upepo guesthouse was clean, comfortable, cozy and uniquely decorated with local art. The outdoor space was beautiful and immaculately maintained with great seating areas, lots of shade and an incredible view. The staff asked about meal preferences and created wonderful meals that we all enjoyed (not easy with teenagers!). My daughter LOVED the mixed fresh fruit deserts. Hearing the waves in the evening was spectacular and watching the tidal changes throughout the day was awesome. Karianne was available for questions and advice at any time we needed and Fadhil took wonderful care of serving our food/drinks. Thank you all for making our stay so comfortable and relaxing! It was our first stop in Tanzania and every aspect of the visit was a perfect transition to a fantastic Tanzanian experience.

I stayed here a total of two nights. The first night upon arrival into Dar es Salaam and my second night about 9 days later leaving Dar es Salaam to head home. This hotel is tucked away from the business of the big city. All the employees are extremely polite and helpful. Considering there are only 5 rooms to be booked for guests there is no feeling of being over crowded and your needs are catered for very quickly. Breakfast is delicious and I highly recommend having dinner there as well. I also enjoyed being able to walk around barefoot too. I will for sure be booking again with Upepo Gardens on my next visit.

Located like an oasis outside Dar es Salaam, it was absolutely fantastic to get there. Quiet and calm, and Indian Ocean right by. A lovely guesthouse with few rooms, very delicate. We felt welcome at once, helpful staff and owners. The owners, Karianne and Rashid arranged our trip and safari, which was absolutely perfect. Being able to stay at the beatiful place with the welcoming hosts was great. Would like to spent longer time there, want to come back. Highly recommended if you want a quiet and beatiful place.

A quiet little gem on the beach right outside the hustle and bustle of Dar es Salaam. The perfect place to relax, unwind and recharge. Wonderful and helpful owners and staff, high standard, delicious food... I'll be back! I can also recommend Upepo Safari if you're after a 'bespoke' safari with professional and knowledgeable guides.

After a long journey we found our respite at upepo garden. Idyllic location. Friendly, trustworthy staff who went above and beyond. I stupidly left my phone in the taxi that was arranged through upepo when I got to the ferry port. I only realised when I got to zanzibar. A member of reception at upepo, Fadhil, contacted my partner and arranged to send phone to me at a minimal cost. This reflects simply how good upepo is!
