I stayed there for 2 nights in the beach chalet. Its basically a straw hut with 3 hard beds with very thin mattress and mosquito nets. The location of the beach is very good. However, there is nothing near by and the way to get there is horrible. We took an Uber from airport to get there and paid 25,000... More

I slept in both the beach banda and the chalet and both were great. Great location. Friendly staff, especially Aisha and Christie. My first beach holiday in years and I loved it. Internet expensive, so better to have a Tanzanian sim card and get an internet bundle on that. Can't think of any other negatives!

Great getaway from Dar, no more queue at the ferry and the Kigamboni bridge means Kipepeo is only 30 minutes away! Cold beers on the beach, what do you need more? Can be a bit noisy in the weekends when neighboring resorts decide to have a party.

Visited Kipepeo for a day with a friend. We did the Dhow trip to the island that included a walk around the island with different scenery on all sides, snorkelling for an hour or so, a packed lunch and of course the boat rides. I recommend doing this for both people staying at the hotel and for day visits. The... More

We have been to Kipepeo several times. This year it was a group of 14 of us, at the end of a mad rush around Tanzania. As always, Kipepeo is a lovely location to relax in. its laid back atmosphere, with its very cosy open bar and restaurants, coupled with a fantastic silver sandy beach straight down into the Indian... I stayed there in August. Rooms are very basic but clean. Food is very basic and very expensive. Breakfast no buffet no real coffe but nescafe which is un acceptable for a coffee producing country. Transport to the city or airport is very expensive. Internet and padlocks for save keeping of valubles is extra. Staff not very friendly.

Nice rroms with hot water, nice food with a large selection, beatiful beach and friendly staff. Avoid the deep sea fishing activity, that they offer, which is very expensive and is more a long boat trip on a traditional dhow.

The stay in the cottage was an adventure, not very luxurious but had everything we needed. The shower was good and when we had some troubles, it was solved without any problems and the staff was always very friendly. Extras like towels for the beach, a safe locker and internet access was rather expensive, but nothing to worry about. The... More

We enjoyed staying at the hotel. Easy to settle and get familiar with the surroundings. Everything is available and you do not need to go away for supplies. The rooms are quiet so you can rest undisturbed.
