A great place to stay in Dar es Salaam and makes it very easy to access lots of places in the city. Customer service is great, and the hotel restaurant serves great food, I really enjoyed the fresh fruits at the Hotel for breakfast. The rooms are fitted with Air conditioners which makes it great even in the heat. Great place to stay for business and short holidays, however nothing big to see in the area.

I have stayed at the Greenlight hotel over the last few years. My experience has been good enough that I will go there again next year. Electric is alway on, the air-conditioning is alway good. Restaurant serves good food, but is quite slow at times. Staff struggles somewhat with understanding English, but in all fairness they understand English better than I do Swahili. It is al well appointed hotel, but the rooms need to be kept in shape. Some small items could use repair, but again not bad enough to have me to somewhere else, and I stay in hotel room 300 days out of a year!

I stayed two time in this motel for a total of 6 days. Stayed in room which had two beds. It is easy to find this motel using Google Map and easy to get to coming from Mtwara. AC worked well and I had hot water. The Jacuzzi did not work in the rooms I stayed in so if this is a feature important to you, be sure it works before choosing your room. I enjoyed meals in the restaurant. Breakfast is a buffet, but some days it finished quickly, but you can always order eggs. It is not the ideal place to stay if you need to go to the airport. There are several different kinds of rooms. It also has several floors. Room quality was above average compared to other places I have stayed in Dar.

Dear Esteemed Client, Thanks a lot for giving us an opportunity to host you. Indeed we really appreciate your time taken to provide us with a feedback via this platform. I take note of the fact that you found our rooms above average, including the other services vis a vis breakfast, Air condition and hot water. We take great honor in meeting our clients' expectations. In terms of proximity to the airport, we are only 8km away from the Julius Nyerere International Airport. Indeed I also note that you were not impressed with the Jacuzzi. My sincere apologies to that end. I have however overseen its maintenance and i can assure you of its perfect condition currently. We do have variety of rooms at Greenlight Hotel all defined more or less by the bathroom structure. There are rooms with only executive showers enclosed in an ultra modern shower cabins, those with Jacuzzi and hand showers, those with Sauna, Jacuzzi and shower. We do look forward to hosting you yet again. Please do have a great time. Warm Regards, Leonard Chege, General Manager.

We visited Greenlight Hotel with my husband and took the fifth floor room, facing the road. Had a complicated reservation from Zanzibar, but the reservation dept handled it quite competently. I have just one word to summarize our entire visit to this lovely Tabata Hotel; Awesome. The room was big enough, spacious. The bathroom quite modern with great shower cubicle. Enjoyed hot water bath all through our three night stay. The food was delicious served at the restaurant mostly. Breakfast is a mixture of continental and a lovely local Tanzania cuisine. The beer garden was the definate delight for us on the mostly warm Dar es salaam evenings. We highly recommend this Hotel and do look forward to return.

Dear esteemed client, It is normally quite a humbling experience for us, whenever we are able to meet a client's expectations in our property. Indeed it was a pleasure hosting you and many thanks also for finding the time to review our Hotel. I have already shared your lovely feedback with my team as well, and we are all delighted. We do look forward to your return trip and I am sure you will be able to find our already completed open air lounge which shall prominently feature in our adjacent multi-purpose hall just about to be opened to the public in mid-November 2018. The ultra modern lounge will be at the top floor overseeing the awesome Dar city view and the new property will be absolutely soundproof in order not to interfere with the serenity of our rooming clients. Take care till then. With Warmest regards, Leonard K. Chege, General manager.

No toilet paper. No WiFi. No shower. Bath had lumps of dirt in it and was rusty. Sign about properly disposing of used condoms in bathroom. Drive from airport took 50 minutes. Pre-ordered collection from airport - driver left me waiting for one hour outside the closed airport, alone and in the dark. Receptionist doesn’t speak good English and couldn’t organise the taxi driver (who spoke no English) to come to the correct terminal. S Receptionist’s English is so bad that when I repeatedly explained I needed to be at the airport at 3:30am she kept suggesting I get a taxi from the hotel at 4am. Taxi to airport stopped for petrol 3 times. Lift does not stop correctly at the floor - large gap to step up into the lift. Despite pre-ordering taxi drop-off it was 10 minutes late. Check-out took ages and receptionist was reluctant to give a tax receipt. Would not recommend anyone I know stay there even if it were free.

Dear Honorable client, Many thanks for taking your time to review our property. Indeed we do also thank you for choosing our hotel for your stay. On behalf of Greenlight Hotel, please accept our sincere apologies for the unpleasant experience that you endured during your last stay with us. I however would like to address the issues that you have raised in your review in the following order: Airport transfer: Greenlight Hotel is located nearest to the airport more than any other high-end hotel in Dar es salaam city. We are talking about an approximately 10 minutes drive or less. This is usually the case as we are located in an area whereby a journey to and fro the airport does not suffer traffic snarl-ups. We normally encourage our esteemed clients to send us email about their flight details, exact arrival date and time. This will give us an opportunity to arrange our airport shuttle for a seamless transfer. The fact that you did not send us the aforementioned details, served to delay the process. Lift maintenance: Indeed we sincerely apologize for the hiccups that our esteemed clients experienced in our elevator. We have taken measures to ensure that there will be no repeat experience of the same. Thus i am glad to inform you that a new elevator system is now up and running and thus i wish to assure our clients of a very smooth experience in our lift system. Wifi: I also would like to apologize about the erratic wifi experience during your stay. Indeed we had a short interruption of the wifi but which was later rectified by our provider. We pride ourselves to offering our clients free super-fast and reliable wifi in the rooms and all other outlets in our property. I have already shared your candid review with my team, and i do take this opportunity to assure you that the mishaps that you encountered largely on the operations and technical aspect are now a thing of the past. I highly encourage you to make a repeat visit in our Hotel and i will personally be glad to meet you as a firm assurance that you can trust my assurance as highlighted above. Please get in touch with us on manager@greenlighthotel.com or info@greenlighthotel.com and we will be glad to accord you a more satisfactory experience in our property. Warm Regards, Leonard Chege, General Manager. Cell: +255 656 569 111.
