This is a very good value hotel, especially for business travellers. It is located in the old business centre, full of narrow streets, mosques, and small stores. No fancy restaurants or tourist facilities here, though the big hotels such as Serena, are not far away. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. Breakfast is nothing to write home about, but it's adequate. Unlike some reviewers, I found the staff in reception and throughout the hotel, to be universally excellent.

Arrived at the hotel with my 2 kids aged 8 and 11 after a fairly long flight from Dubai. Having our printed hotel voucher and mobile app voucher we were told there is no booking reservation, after waiting around half hour we asked what is happening? They were still trying to find our booking. I told them to contact the agent and gave them the emergency number, with that another half hour passed and had to ask again what was happening, was told the agent are not answering the phone! This was clearly a LIE as u ended up calling them myself and was told they would re submit the booking confirmation to the hotel. After just over 2 hours later of waiting at reception demanding to see the manager who did not show they still would not give us a room. In the end by this time 2&half hours later with 2 very tired kids I just paid on my card for the room. There was no apology from any of the staff they were rude non Curtis and I was appalled at the way we were treated I would strongly NOT Recommend this hotel to anyone there are plenty of other hotels to stay in Dar

Dear Valued Guest, we appreciate you taking the time to provide us with such feedback about your stay. You are supposed to blame the booking engine where you made the booking, not the hotel, booking engine where you booked they were supposed to make payment before arrival time, our Hotel procedure payment must be done on arrival time or before arrival time.

We booked through Agoda, 2 weeks stay with this hotel. Despite having the confirmation code and booking #, the front office staff wouldn’t let us stay until we paid cash upfront. They reasoning was that Agoda has not been paying them on time. 1 hr of fighting and multiple phone calls to Agoda customer service to resolve the issue. I wouldn’t stay here, the business practises are shady

Dear Valued guest, we appreciate you taking the time to provide us with such detailed feedback about your stay. I am very sorry to hear that you stayed at reception for one hour, our hotel procedure payment must be done on arrival time if you booked through Agoda two weeks before they were supposed to send payment before arriving date. The one who should be blamed is Agoda for not making your payment, the reception staff refused to let you enter the room were right because it’s our hotel procedures, the guest is not allowed to be given a room until he pays.

The hotel is average but at a low rate like this one cannot demand a lot, but the wifi is not working for four days which is unacceptable especially when one is on business. Next time I will pay more for a better hotel in Dar e.g. Hyatt or Serena.

I stayed at the Tiffany Diamond Hotel for 3 nights before I embarked on other Tanzanian travels and I found the hotel really great because it was so new! The bathrobes, towels, pillows, and linens were all fluffy and super comfortable. The rooms were enormous! It was great to have wi-fi in the rooms too. The location is so-so, I was there during Ramadan and my room was facing the mosque (the hotel is just 50m from the mosque), so it on occasion was loud with the prayer calls, but nothing too bad. It's considered to be in the "business district," but the area is a bit rustic and dirty. I also had several experiences with the hotel being a bit difficult to find and people not being familiar with it even when asking directions (again, it being so new). Not too much of a big deal, but if you go out, try to get some landmarks to make the journey back easier. Although it's a bit hidden, there were always taxi's in front, so it was easy to get around. The breakfast was of standard, no complaints. The reception and staff were nice and the rooms were practically spotless. I used the gym once, and it was a little bit stuffy, but decent. Overall, a very nice stay and I thought the price was reasonable for the quality of the hotel.

Room Tip: Just be mindful if you get a room on the same side as the mosque as that can be a bit loud.

The hotel was very convenient for the airport, the ferry to Zanzibar and the city centre. The staff at reception were friendly and efficient. The room was very spacious and clean. The only problem I could see was a door in the room that opened onto an empty shaft. I was alone in the room so it really creeped me out, although everything was obviously fine! Some people have commented on the volume of the call to prayer. I personally did not find it to be too loud, just a pleasant reminder of where I was.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a central location to stay in Dar es Salaam.

Strange experience, 10 nights and by night 1 I was ready to leave.
THE GOOD: Good spacious rooms; well furnished; tea/coffee facilities; decent bathroom; well stocked including a toothbrush, razor, vanity kit, sewing kit etc; somewhat professional front desk staff, If you love "Chapati" this is the place for you, central location given the Dar es salaam traffic jam issues, complementary Wi-Fi access steady with good speed...and that's about it!
THE BAD: white linens with a strange pungent smell; bathroom has a very strange smell - I figure the drainage on the floor lacks a smell trap - you can imagine; a very unprofessionally fit shower curtain that does nothing but cheapen the bathroom, when it doesn't fall off its hooks; hotel amidst different Mosques - if you are a light sleeper, make sure its between 8pm and 5am; Restaurant is horrible - served food that had gone off on several occasions - Chef never bothered to apologize, on one occasion we were offered a fruit platter after serving us rotten chicken; do not try the Pizza; Servers not sure of the cost or availability of menu items; If its not on the buffet at breakfast, don't bother ordering for it - even a boiled egg; your dinning receipt will have items you did not order for and not those you ordered for - but you will be told the price is the same as what you had ordered for; room service will take at least 1-2 hours, and your bill will be delivered by word of mouth, should you pay cash, don't have high expectations for your change if any.... don't bother to save the World by conserving water, if you want a hot shower just run the tap for a good 5 minutes - what a waste!
Given the Managers response to some of the reviews, I reckon the F&B Manager, Chef and General Manager need an urgent shake-up!!!

I used another means of transport to get to the hotel though their have nice airport pick-up and drop-off services and very nice cars
I thing the best way to book for a pick-up , you can call the hotel hotline
My company arranged a taxi so I am not able to help on this occasion.
Hi - the hotel can arrange for the transfer, but taxis are also readily available.
