I have already paid the tour guide- Michael who is in cahoots with the Manager of this selous kinga resort for the entire tour and was led to this lodge to stay, but somehow the unscrupulous mercenary Resort Manager- Moses claims that my tour guide did not pay him and aggressively demanded and threatened payment from me! We ended up at the local village Police post and he even has the audacity to get physically violent with me there and yanked my belongings from me! He wanted my bags, iPhone, wallet and anything he can lay his hands on! He is a dangerous man and threatened to take my life if I don’t succumbed to his demands. There are many resorts, this is definitely NOT the resort to spend our vacations!
I am Asiia and I have visited at Selous Kinga Lodge from October 12 to 14, 2019. Selous Kinga Lodge is one of the best hotels I've stayed at. Everything was great, starting from the moment we met. Amazingly friendly, helpful, caring staff. Superb cuisine, excellent table setting and great food and drink. The houses for living are very clean, spacious and very comfortable. The staff takes care even when you go to your house in the evening, accompanying the guest to the house. The hotel stands on the river bank, around the hotel trees where monkeys live. Amazingly beautiful polyphonic singing of birds. Excellent organization of all types of safari. I rested both in body and soul! Thanks to all the hotel staff for a great stay!
We had a wonderful stay at Selous Kinga Lodge and felt very welcome. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The common area and the lodge are beautifully decorated. Our room was big and clean, with a mosquito net. The bathroom was big too and in good condition. The food was delicious and more than enough. Lots of animals can be seen and/or heard, which improves the safari experience. We highly recommend Selous Kinga Lodge. Lots of charm and perfect for mid range budget.
We stayed two nights in Kinga Lodge with my husband and we were very satisfied with everything. Rooms are very spacious and clean ,they cleaned it twice a day. The food was so much better then what we expected. The staff is very kind...everyone. Our driver was very cool and nice.
Just come back from a 4 day safari at kinga lodge and my whole family were blown away by the whole experience, from the time we landed at the selous international airport as our driver Jummani called it(really it was a dirt strip but all part of the experience) to the time we were ready to take off 4 days later we were looked after so well by everybody who works there that nothing was too much trouble,if your looking for pure luxury then this place is not for you but if your looking for somewhere that is friendly, that serves good food and gives you a decent nights sleep then this place fills the criteria perfectly.everyone from the chefs to the manager from the waiter to the cleaners were all so charming and I think the person who just topped the holiday off was our guide jummani or Tuesday as he is also known as,his knowledge of wildlife and the built in satnav that he must have inside his head are second to none, the only animals we didn’t see were the leopard and bison but we saw everything else we wanted to see and getting up close to a lion (less than 8 ft away from us )was the icing on the cake,I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this lodge and the people who run it…
