We booked this place with a safari package and were really disappointed. We chose kinga lodge over the other as it should have a pool and hot shower. When we arrived they told us the pool is under construction- so not usable. And hot shower is not always working as it runs on solar energy. Well, we arrived after long drive at the early afternoon with bright sunshine and so i tried my luck as the pool was no option. As indicated I left water running 5 minutes. Yes there came water but it was cold. During our stay they came across with a lot reasons why hot water is not working, but never they tried to fix or change room. All we were offered were two buckets of brown warm water.... we Travel a lot and i know things can be different but this absolutely felt like lies whatever reason they could find would fit. The rest: room was big and spacious. Big mosquito net. The chef is really good. They ask if you have allergy but the rest is what they serve (but we were always satisfied) A lot of Monkeys live all around so don’t be afraid :)

It is a really lovely lodge to stay for your safari! The staffs are really nice and helpful. I especially enjoy the common area, it is beautifully decorated. The food is lovely which I have to ask for more! Did not get the chance to use the pool at all though. After the boat safari, I found out there was a animal (later found out there were 2 squirrels) in my room. Informed the staff and they help me got them out safely. Did not quite know how they got in at the first place. The room itself is huge! The toilets are in really good condition with 2 huge showers!!! I would definitely recommend everyone to stay at Kinga Lodge, it is not the most luxurious but it has the touch of finding the right balance between staying in a safari but not too basic. It is perfect for people with mid range budget!!!!

We had our stay at Selous Kinga Lodge when we was going for Safari in Selous. A great place to stay, and if you stay quiet A lot of monkey will visit you, see picture☺🐒👍 we did A riverboat tour, and have 2 days with game drive. Perfect!! The staff is so lovely, and serviceminded. Our daughter was sick, side effects from malaria, and it was no problem to get The help we needed. And, this lodge is the only one with an african owner..., keep that in mind. Most of the lodges is owned by european people.., support the right people when visiting Africa

We stayed at Kinga Lodge as part of our private safari package. We were greeted by the staff with damp towels and a cool drink. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. There was a large bathroom with a choice of two showers. Each room had its own veranda and ours overlooked the Rufiji River. The lighting in the room was ‘subdued’ and I would have found it difficult to read by. When we woke on the first morning there was no running water in the bathroom and we also had a problem with the toilet on another morning. However, the staff were very attentive and dealt with the problems immediately. The food was lovely and I felt the portions were more than adequate. We also were provided with a really good packed lunch with more food than I could eat. There was a bar - but as we only drank cold beers I couldn’t say how well stocked it was. The WiFi was slow but did work in the main Banda area. The main Banda was spacious and there was lots of comfortable seating. The lighting in the Banda are was very low key and it felt quite dark in there in the evening. The website advertises a swimming pool. However, the swimming pool was unusable as the water appeared stagnant and in need of maintenance. Having said that we found there was little time in our itinerary to have made use of the pool. The staff were courteous and friendly and worked hard to make sure you had a pleasant stay. Kinga Lodge is a mid range lodge and provided a comfortable base for our safari in Selous Game Reserve

First time for me to stay in lodge and going safari. Room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The staffs were friendly and professional. Foods were amazing. There was a bar and they made my husband very happy. They took us a village that was also a great time. Animal safari was so fun and beautiful experience for me.
