Protea hotel Oysterbay felt like a home away from home. The rooms are generously sized, well laid out, and feel like little apartments. Staff are friendly and helpful and the food served at the restaurant (breakfast, lunch and dinner) is incredible! I highly recommend their Red Snapper (my mouth is watering just thinking of it!). I will definitely be back!...

Recently stayed at the Protea Hotel. It is about as western as you will find in Dar Es Salaam. I like the loft set up, spacious rooms, bathroom on first floor is a slight inconvenience. The air conditioner kept me cool and there were enough TV channels for me to find something to unwind with at the end of the...

This is approximately my 8th stay at this hotel over a 3 year period, and the second time I spent more than 5 consecutive days at the hotel. The hotel is tranquil and has spacious and cleam rooms, which are well aircondishend, friendly staff from cleaners to management. The restaurant serves great dishes - the fish options are outstanding and...

This is the second time I stayed at the Protea Oyster bay; and it's amazing! The staff were so kind and put me in the same room as I had before, with a free upgrade, and when I returned from Zanzibar to collect my suitcase they were super kind and allowed me a shower and refresh. The staff are clearly...

The hotel is located in the heart of Oyester Bay, with easy access to the all the consulates in the vicinity. It is right next to the Vatican City Consulate. The restuatrant at the hotel is small & cozy, but has good selection of food & drinks. So, in the evenings you can relax by the pool side have a...

I came back to Protea Hotel Oyster Bay after about 6 years. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they have maintained their tradition of hospitality and great food. The fruit selection at breakfast is impressive and their mangoes are among the best I have found anywhere. The staff from reception, security, cleaning to managers were all very friendly and...

I enjoyed returning to my nicely decorated room at the end of a hard working day. The gym is well equipped and available 24/24. The breakfast buffet was excellent, many different choices and the selection of fruits probably the best I have ever seen. Oh and the staff were all super friendly and helpful. I stayed for 2 weeks during...
