Detailed Reviews
I stayed at the hotel with my family of 2 adults + 4 children and had a 2 bed loft apartment. The location is wonderful, everything is in walking distance from beach, ferry port, shopping in Medina, Visiting the Kasbah, resturants etc. The people are ever so lovely and helpful and made our trip in Tangier a good memory. Amazing experience of Morocco. The hotel apartment was big and clean and we were looked after well. The owner was friendly and helpful too.

I originally planned to stay for three days. The room I was in was overlooking Medina. The noise level was extremely high due to people talking. The room had sink & shower. Shower has good pressure and ample hot water after running for 3 to 4 minutes. The two beds were above average, room had television but not working, had two folding chairs, a “wardrobe" (armoire or chiffarobe). The toilet was in the lobby area.
They offer Wi-Fi it's weak. However, I decided to stay a couple of weeks to enjoy Tangier. Was able to get a reduced rate due to length of stay.

Think twice before you book this hotel.
I made an online reservation for 14.5.22. I received an email from the hotel that the reservation was confirmed. About two weeks later, I arrived in Tangier, about a week before the booking date, and in this week I stayed elsewhere. Since I was close to the hotel maram, I went into the hotel and checked with the receptionist that the reservation was registered and everything was fine. The receptionist checked the computer and replied that the reservation was approved and everything was fine and that we would see each other on 14.5.22.
The day before arrival, I received an email from the hotel that there was a mistake, and my reservation was canceled. Needless to say the sadness and stress as I could not find another hotel, and only after many searches did I find another hotel that was much more expensive. Do not recommend this hotel in any way !!!

I booked a room with private bathroom but when I got on site I found that the room had only a shower while the toilet was located by the reception. Staff OK. The hotel is located in a very noisy part of the medina, next door to a mosque so around 5:50AM the call to prayer blasted the room at full volume. Personally, I will not use this hotel again if visiting Tangier, but at the same time, I cannot say this place is worst or better than other similar priced hotels in the area.

This hotel had a great location and was very inexpensive. I was surprised to find that the bathroom was shared in a hallway. There were two bathrooms in a hallway with four rooms. So, if it had been full there would have been 8 people and two bathrooms. It was like a hostel.

this is an experience from a year ago, I regret not writing a review then but seeing on the news something similar happen to another moroccans in a different hotel, this has to stop.
in short, Moroccans are not welcomed here -Last year I had to be in Tangier and planned to stay in this hotel because someone I know who was in Tangier just two days prior and stayed here recommended it to me because I was on a budget, they said a room for two costed them 270DH... i'm not a tourist, i had to be in tangier because i had an exam. Now, I arrive with my aunt in the hotel, we were told a night there in a room for two costs 320DH. We explained that we were on a budget and that the hotel was recommended to us because of the low price. The receptionist was like "go to the nearby hotel and ask how much it costs a night in there, and if they said 270DH you can come back and i'll give you the room". And we did just that, and we were right, a night does cost 270DH there too, but unfortunately the rooms were all full, so we had to go back to Maram. We told the guy what happened and he was like alright wait in here. As we waited, a spanish guy walks in and the receptionist gives him the room that he was supposed to give to us and then told us that all rooms were full now. We confronted him and he was like "7acha we treat everyone the same" and you can see even through the spanish guy's face that he was embarrassed to be there. Mind you this took place at around 11 am and we literally spent the whole day on foot looking for a hotel to stay in, but they were all full. My aunt was scared that we would have to stay the night outside + I had an exam the next day so i had to at least revise for it. it was until around 9 pm that we found a place to stay in. a "hotel" in terrible conditions, but we were thankful for it anyway.
by the way, below i'm asked when did i travel- it was not on january 2018 but that's the closest to last year so i had to pick that.

+1
Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who run this hotel. You only have to mention that something would make your life easier and they are escorting, booking, fixing or supplying whatever it is you need. They take time to talk to all their guests and frequently send pots of Moroccan mint tea up to your room. I have never experienced such personal service.
Yes, this is a budget hotel. Tangier was cold and it rained every day for the whole 4 weeks I was there. However, I didn't want to pay for heating so was happy to make do with the massive supply of blankets and consistent supply of hot water.
What I did need was very good wifi - and it is there in every room at Hotel Maram - with a router on every floor. It is also very clean - and cleaning staff will do your laundry overnight for a small fee.
The location is fabulous - in the heart of the medina but near enough the waterfront to make walking or jogging there easy. This means, of course, that it is noisy - prayer calls, merchants, tourists and cats all contribute. I love it but not the place for you if you want quiet. There are no clubs here though. At night (except for the morning prayer call), it is quiet.
Thank you for having me Mr Nourredin, Usama, Murad and Fatima. I will miss you.

A good hotel with a great recepcion service. No hot water on the first day but they fixed it. The rooms are clean and the beds, comfortable. They have a nice terrace and the owner is a very Kind person. We reccomended! It worth the price.

At the first place, I'd like to recomend this hotel to everyone.
Location is great - 8 min. to ferry port, 7 min. to public beach, next to restaurants and caffeterias. It lays in very medina - next to main Tangier mosque.
The hotel is very clean. Although Maram hotel greatest asset are staff. Very helpful and friendly (greetings to Osama receptionist;).
Mint tea will be served whenever you please ;)
