Considered the most regal of all the imperial cities, Rabat combines traditional culture with contemporary politics. Here, relics of the world's largest mausoleum rub shoulders with contemporary skyscrapers. Behind its sleek, glass façade, the Sofitel Diwan is designed with sublime refinement and elegant nuances. Conveniently located in the heart of downtown, just minutes from the airport and the incomparable Dar Es-Salaam golf course, this luxury hotel is ideal for both business and leisure.

I came yesterday to take lunch with my friends at the restaurant, was very good. Then we went to the SPA and take a "hamam" and was more than wonderful, Asma was so nice and very kind person. The hotel is very clean and they respect and follow all the covid prevent protocols. I just love it, defiantly i'll come back and totally recommended.

In 2017 I decided to take my husband and two precious little boys age 2 years and 4 months to visit my home town, so I picked this hotel to stay in for couple days while visiting my own family, I arrive to the hotel a little after midnight and try to check in so we can all rest after a long day traveling across the world. The receptionist asked me for a marriage certificate to prove that this is my husband and these boys are mine or else we can’t check in to our room that we already paid for. I found it uncalled for but I did show him my kids birth certificates and my green card as I don’t travel Carrying my marriage papers with me specially after so many years of being married. The receptionist refuse to let as in and continued to argue with us. At that moment you can only imaging the shame and the embarrassment I felt in front of my husband and kids standing in front this person trying to get a room. Being so irritated I ask to see the manager but no manager at that time I was told he will come in the morning . Desperate I sat in the lobby breastfeeding my baby while my husband trying to calm my little boy Down. We sat there for four hours before we decided that I check in alone with the boys and my husband refused to get a deferent room and decided to sit there in the lobby waiting for the manager to show up! Morning comes and we met him to explain our horrifying experience you know what he said to us! As a Moroccan Citizen I must show a proof of marriage but if I have an other citizenship than that won’t be a problem. Guys all I can say is that I’m sorry to all of you who had terrible experience in this place sadly it’s filled with nonsenses an immorality. I’m sorry to my own family having to experience this with me and see how I was treated in my own hometown and most of all I’m so sorry I once used to call them my people. Shame on you till the end of days I do not recommend this place for non smokers coz all the non smoking rooms smell of heavy smoke. Service is terrible as well.
