Unfortunately, the hotel is old and dirty. We found a big coackroach (cucarachas) close to the bed, and the blankets were dirty and smelly, as they don't change them for a while. Also the hotel is close go a main street and it is quite noisy. It was too late for change it, but I strongly reccomend to not go there!
We spent 3 nights at Hotel Lutece and were thrilled with our choice. The hotel is nicely appointed and spotlessly clean. Our room was lovely, with a pleasant view, and the beds were nice and firm. All the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfast is a very full meal. Their balcony quickly became one of our favorite spots to spend time in my second photo (taken from the balcony) you see why. It's conveniently located just outside the Medina, near the Kasbah and just around the corner from Haman Marassa.
Lovely little hotel in an ideal location for exploring Rabat. Medina, Kasbah & corniche all within easy walking distance, tram stop just 10 mins walk away. Easy to find your way around from the hotel as it’s just off a main road opposite one of the old town gates. Plenty of shops & places to eat nearby. WiFi was good in room & in lobby but not upstairs on the roof terrace. Nice roof terrace with views of the city, a beautiful mosque & the sea in the distance. We had a twin room at the front of the hotel with a view of the street, the mosque & the sea. There is a little noise from the street but nothing that bothered us. The room was clean & comfortable & was cleaned daily. The only downside was the tiny bathroom. Very small shower & the toilet was raised up on a step which was a little awkward. Despite the small size it was adequate for a few days city break & there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast was in the dining area on the roof. Fresh juice, tea, lovely coffee, omelette, Moroccan pancakes & bread. Staff were really friendly & helpful. Will definitely visit again. I don’t think you can beat this place for value & location in Rabat, especially if you’re on a budget. Thanks for a great stay. …
This is a nice hotel in some ways with a light airy welcoming feel, situated between two car garages occupying the ground floor, so lots of mechanics noises during the day, but fine at night. The staff are fun and friendly and the rooms are adequate sized, with comfortable beds. The breakfast is very basic, plenty of it but only just about adequate quality. The room we had was unfortunately very broken down, doors off hinges, broken light fittings etc. However there was hot water. They don't take cards at checkout.
I stayed here one night in August with 2 of my Aussie friends as we were bike touring through Morocco for a month. Excellent room, clean, bed was very comfortable, great shower and WiFi was good. Highly recommend!
