Very nicely decorated and appreciated the bottled water given to us daily. Room was quiet and beds were comfortable. I don't think the heating/air con was working but this wasn't a problem. The hotel is well located as it's in the medina and it's very quiet at night. We were offered an upgrade to a bigger room but this was a queen bed and we wanted a twin room. Breakfast was delicious with various breads and condiments/jams and fresh orange juice (as well as other things)
We didn't use the hammam but had a look at it. It looks small but quite decently priced.

We stayed here at the end of Nov for a few nights, honestly the riad was beautiful from the moment you walk in, absolutely stunning not only was it incredible architecture it was spotless clean ! Even better than pictures. the atmosphere and vibe was 10/10.
Location was spot on you are in the heart of old Medina with souks and markets surrounding you with the Kasbah and sea 5mins walk. The staff were honestly the most welcoming ever esp Younas, Ahmed, Hamid and Soufayanne you made are stay even better, hospitality at it's finest 👌. breakfast was a treat a lovely spread of all the local cuisine loved it! Shower/water was boiling hot perfect for evening soak. I cannot wait to come back in sha Allah with the rest of the family 😍 SUMARA & Waseem

The best accommodation in the heart of the Medina in Rabat! It was lucky to find this wonderful riad, it has a beautiful courtyard that I could not help taking a thousand photos. Sefouane, its manager, welcomed us with a smile, as well as the staff who work there who are all charming, always ready to help in everything. Our suite was amazing, clean with a beautiful traditional decoration, large and very bright (something unusual in riads). We felt very comfortable and enjoyed our stay very much.
They serve breakfast on the rooftop terrace, which was delicious and varied. One of the best breakfasts we had during our trip to Morocco. I also recommend stay at their restaurant, with traditional Moroccan food of excellent quality. The menu is extensive and varied, but I recommend the chicken R'fissa, such an exquisite dish! We especially loved this one.
On the last day they were very kind storying our luggage so that we could continue to enjoy Rabat until it was time to leave. They made us feel very welcome and we would definitely recommend Dar El Kebira to anyone who wants to visit Rabat. Many thanks and hopefully see you soon!

The people at this Riad were very nice. The breakfast was good and the hamman was excellent. We visited in September and the weather was still quite warm throughout the night. We had two rooms and, unfortunately, the air conditioning in my room was not working. I didnt want to leave my window open at night as there was an empty rooftop to another building within armsreach to my room. There also was a small clustering of very tiny ants in the room. The person at the desk told me they had no other rooms to switch me to making it quite uncomfortable to get a good night's sleep. We had previously booked for two nights but switched to another riad for the second night since they could not fix the air conditioning. Unfortunately, the owner charged me for the second night even though I left. I tried to dispute through my bank but owner said I still had to pay. Just want to let people know that if you have a problem at this riad you might have to just suck it up!

We suggested to change the room on the 2nd night, but you didn’t want to stay because you wanted a triple room with an extra bed for your daughter. We then offered you another room with a special discount for her. With regards to A/C, indeed we had a problem that we fixed the next day by our technicien. We are truly sorry, Please accept our sincerest apologies for this matters ! We are looking forward to welcoming you again in better conditions this time. The Riad will always be yours. I will say if we didn’t have trouble with the location and getting past the shops and everyone in the street, then I would have given it a 4 star. If you have money to waste, then it is a beautiful hotel. The decor is very authentic and breathtaking. Unfortunately for this hotel, we stayed in riad Amaris which is only a 5 minute walk away and way better priced. We payed just over £130 for a night here and at the armaris it was like £55 cheaper. Don’t get me wrong the price for the armaris is higher sometime but we got it at a good time. If they are both showing the same price for the time you want to stay, then this hotel is definitely way more traditionally beautiful but we stayed in the suite so the other rooms I can’t speak on. The armaris was a wayyyy better location. It’s not far from the entrance of the market and it’s on a side road where there’s only really hotels. This hotel is more in the market and is located on a residential road! So it’s louder at night and it’s busy and hard to walk through. There was a funeral when we went so we couldn’t even get passed and you have to get through shops, it’s a nightmare sometimes. It’s very uncomfortable as a tourist. I’ll add photos of the streets of both hotels, you’ll know what one is for here because the walls are all chipped and not as nice. To pay that much more for a better decor isn’t worth it for me. We only sleep in the room, so price and location are way more important. The breakfast was the same, in fact I preferred the cheaper hotels breakfast. We get Turkish tea at night and here no biscuits where given with the tea. It may not be a big thing but we stayed in 3 city’s in Morocco and all the cheaper hotels gave biscuits. Weirdly there was also no bin in the room. Just an open bowel in the bathroom which is awkward when disposing of toiletries as a women. One last little thing is the sinks tap is so far back that anytime you wash your hands or face the water goes all over the side and drips all over the floor. I don’t mean it just splatters everywhere, it almost just pours into the side because it’s so badly placed. The workers were lovely, just like everywhere we stayed. I will say it’s nearly impossible to find a hotel that you can get a taxi straight to, especially if you’re staying in the old town. Google maps work fine and just don’t except help and you’ll be fine.

I visited the riad dar elkbira and it was a great experience when I returned from the Belgian . I was eager to live the authentic Moroccan atmosphere. I was tired of traditional hotels. I took a room that had a comfortable bed and wonderful decoration. Breakfast was also delicious and Moroccan sweets provided by them, fast Wi-Fi, good service by the responsible people, calm and quiet music throughout Riyadh, my friends and I had a lot of fun and took souvenir pictures and decided to go back next time.

We were shocked to discover this was our hotel,in Rabat. Our agent failed to brief us that it is inside the Medina and that we had to walk inside the Medina, passing through shops and sidewalk vendors and what not. The hotel is a riad! My room was charming but very narrow. The shower stall was difficult to manage as the bathtub was narrow and uneven so it was quite difficult to shower. Room Amenities were good, though and complete and thoughtful. Dinner was good (at least my Moroccan soup was!) The massage was not good. Venue was oven hot with no air conditioning so was uncomfortable. Breakfast is soso. But at least they served fruits. Here ( compared to the Taj Atlas Resort in Marrakech where housekeeping filched this same mirror) , housekeeping returned my make up mirror when I forgot to pack it upon checking out! Thank you!

Absolutely horrified by this Riad. They gave us a room that shouldn’t even be used by people—it’s more suited for rats. The food was awful, and the room was filthy. The quality is far below acceptable standards, and here’s why:

1. The shower leaks water all over the bathroom floor. I had to use every bath towel to soak it up. Clearly, this has been an ongoing problem since some tiles are even missing next to the shower.

2. There are actual holes in the walls, making the room feel like it’s falling apart.

3. The hardware on the walls is cheap plastic and looks low quality, adding to the room’s tackiness.

4. The wooden door has aluminum lining at the bottom, possibly hiding rotted wood beneath it.

5. The fringes on the rug are filthy and completely unkempt, making the whole room feel dirty.

6. The armoire handle is broken, further adding to the rundown, neglected feel of the place.

Overall, this room feels like a two-star disaster at best, and it’s a total disappointment compared to what we expected. Avoid this Riad if you’re looking for any kind of quality or cleanliness.
