I cannot begin to gush about Riad Mur Akush! Tastefully done up Riad with lovely interiors and a panoramic terrace. The rooms were clean, comfortable and hygienic- the hot water and aircon-both worked fab. But what touched the chord was definitely the superior hospitality. Mohammed was not only a fantastic guide, but gave an insight into the Moroccan life. We... More

Absolutely love this riad. Small, friendly, and within 15 minutes' walk of the Grande Place one way and 5 minutes from the Bab Doukkala (gate out of the medina) the other. Every room has an absolutely stunning antique door and the whole place is packed with beautiful objects. There are filigree lanterns and candles everywhere - so pretty at night... More

We (myself and my mother, 30 and 64) stayed in the Riad Mur Akush for a few nights in early July, to celebrate my 30th birthday and really loved the place. Having first stayed in a brash, loud, and totally randomly located hotel outside of the Medina, it was a huge relief to move on and come to this tranquil,... More

Marrakesh is an amazing city and Riad Mur Akush really does the experience justice. It's a beautiful riad in a fantastic location - just off a main street so you don't have to walk down the twisting alleys of the medina in the dark. Not only are the rooms clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated, but the staff are amazingly kind... More

We stayed in the riad for a week in the grand suite amel. The staff were really accomadating and lovely throughout our time, even when we asked for breakfast in our room at 11:30am. They seemed to show a geniune interest in our wellbeing and did their upmost to ensure we had a good time. The staff were ready to... More

Harmony: a little calm oasis in the heart of eventful Marrakech, nice and helpful staff, beautiful rooms, fantastic terrace with view of Koutoubia, great breakfast, candles in the night, berber music ............ and the inimitable Berber whiskey. I love it ! I would like to come back! "If is God's will'!" Thanks for Mohamed, Houssin, Said, Rachid Andrea, from Hungary,... More

We were two females travelling for a short break to Marrakech. It was my 4th visit and i was looking for a cultural experience, different to the usual trip where you are "distanced" from the outside world once you are in your standard hotel room. Riad Mur Akush was great, we arrived late morning and were served refreshing Moroccan mint... More

We stayed in Grand Suite Amel with our young son, a clean spacious room. The room location at the top of the riad with easy roof access was perfect. Breakfasts were excellent. The location outside the Medina was not as ideal as the first riad we stayed at, but the call to prayer from the very nearby Doukkala Mosque really... More

The staff at Riad Mur Akush were very helpful and friendly. Maria helped before we arrived by answering my many emails and giving useful tips. I have to disagree with a previous reviewer who complained about 'greed and rudeness'. Maria offered us the Riad-organised trips but always told us about the cheaper alternatives, for example local buses. We were also... More
