It wasn't until i saw the other riads that friends were staying in that i realised how special this riad is. The rooms were lovely - gorgeous en suite bathroom with mosaic sinks. I stayed at Riad Taghazout at the end of September 2009 for 5 nights. I was traveling alone and was rather unsure about seeing Marrakech by myself. The riad was great. Stayed in a double room that was small but clean. Ideal location for exploring Marrakesh - a few minutes walk from the Jeema el Fna Plaza. Can be difficult to find so organise transport in advance or make sure you have a map. Lovely breakfast served on the roof terrace. Only negative point was the shower head was broken so...

When we arrived at the Riad we were told by the female daytime receptionist that we were given a special price because we were staying 3 nights. Only 500 DH a night for 2 instead of 700 DH, breakfast included! That was more than we could afford but we were too tired to look for something else. The next day...

Riad Tagazhout is a good example of traditional-style Moroccan accommodation, right in the center of the beautiful Medina of Marrakech. Rooms are named with relevant geographic places of Morocco (I stayed in the Ouarzazate room), simply equipped and with private bathroom.
