This is a very small riad - maybe 5 rooms in total. The lady that takes care of it was always very cordial, prepared us a very nice breakfast and was very helpful. It is a very calm place but still close from the medina and other sightseeing places (walking distance to the medina). I would recommend it if you are looking to chill out

If you want to stay in a quiet, intimate place in Marrakech, but still very accessible by foot from the medina and other touristic spots, then this riad is perfect for you. It has only around 5 rooms and the lady that takes care of it was very cordial and prepared us a very nice breakfast in the riad's terrace.

We had a very pleasant stay at Riad Kumeia! From the moment we arrived, we were served a home made tea and sweets in the living room. Our room was very nice and need with everything needed for a good stay. Everyday, regardless on what time we were heading out, we were served and lovely and home made breakfast and we were amazed about the flexibility of the staff. Florence was very helpful with table reservations, recommendations and taxi pickups every time we needed it. If we go back on another trip to Marrakech, we would be happy to stay here again!

Nice room, a very nice roof terrace, One has to walk very far to get to the Riad and without local help, we would have been lost! There was plenty of secure parking space outside the Medina! Marrakesh was busy as usual!

We were there for three nights, the riad is super quiet and perfect to relax. It is outside the souk which is a good option if you want to avoid the rush. The terrace has views to Mamunia gardens, the breakfast is lovely. The owner has paid a lot of attention to decor and she is super helpful and warm.

Riad Kumeia provided the perfect setting for a relaxing city break. Ideally located in order to hit the sites but also to provide peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle. Words like "quiet" and "calm" are not one you would associate within the medina walls as it is a very lively place, however the style and unobtrusive nature of the riad made it so. Florence was for us, the perfect host; welcoming, helpful and so friendly. Our French wasn't very good and Florence made every effort to help us find our way. Some excellent recommendations, good breakfast on the roof terrace and wonderful vibe- thank you Florence and Aiycha!

I loved this Riad, we were only there for 3 nights and could happily have stayed for far longer. Florence was delightful, helpful and made us feel so welcome. She has created a Riad that has a friendly atmosphere between not just her and you but also between other guests and you without being intrusive. The rooms were lovely, clean and felt so peaceful especially as the Riad being so close to the Medina. The rooftop terrace felt like a little oasis of calm, with a couple of sunbeds, and a covered area where breakfast and dinner was served. Her dinner was incredible, definitely one of the best meals we ate in Morrocco (her molton chocolate lava cake with chantilly cream was stunning!). We'd go back and stay there in a heartbeat.

If you speak French, smoke and already have your Marrakech time planned out then this Riad may be better suited to you. I did not love that the entire Riad smelt of cigarette smoke because the owner smokes inside, it really wasn't that nice waking up in the morning to a room smelling of cigarettes. Unfortunately our French language ability sits at about zero and Florence speaks very little english. If we didn't need a little it of guidance with directions, restaurant recommendations etc then this would not have been an issue - we used google translate with some success but I think it was a little trying for both of us :) The rooftop terrace is lovely and peaceful and the breakfast absolutely delicious. The Riad whilst stylishly presented would be quite loud if full of guests (as with most Riads) all can be heard with people moving around the interior so sleep disrupted. The Riad is out of the medina - about a 15 minute walk to the square and if we were in Marrakech again we would stay somewhere within the medina or perhaps the new town. If you ask for transfers consider checking your price with another driver - we were offered a transfer to Lower Atlas Mountains with Florence's contact for 950MAD and found another driver ourselves (in air conditioned tourist vehicle) for 550. As some other reviewers have mentioned there is only a curtain between the bathroom and bedroom. Booked this as part of a Secret Escapes deal (and after 2 average experiences with them I've now unsubscribed from their deals).

We really enjoyed coming to Marrakech and staying at Riad Kumeia. Florence was a great host and recommended great places to go too. The riad was so clean and the breakfast was great, we even had dinner there one night which was brilliant. The roof terrace is great and really peaceful over looking the gardens. The only thing was that because of the time of the year the room felt slightly damp and we could of done with an electric blanket to take the chill off the sheets. Otherwise it was a great trip. Thank you.
