The Djebel riad DJEBEL is a long-standing house that has been renovated using traditional techniques and materials. The minimalist decor combines Moroccan handicraft with contemporary art pieces and creates a peaceful atmosphere. Structured around the central patio, the bed and breakfast has 5 rooms, an open lounge and a closed lounge with fireplace, a patio planted with trees, a massage parlour, a hammam and a large terrace with view on the medina and the Atlas Mountains.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here which was made all the better by the courteous, friendly and helpful staff. We loved our room - which had all we needed and really enjoyed the delicious breakfasts on the terrace. This place is nice and quiet but also not too far from the bustling souk. A great place to stay in Marrakech and Abdila was very helpful!

We really loved this place and the staff. The room was great and comfortable. They helped us to book a great Sahara trip. Also walked us around to many places so that we felt comfortable Finding the way around ourselves. The breakfast was very good. Internet connection was really bad!

We stayed in Riad Djebel for 3 nights and were impressed from the very start. Abdou and the other staff were wonderful, nothing was too much to ask (breakfast was served early on our final morning to ensure we ate before our flight, a detailed map and tips were given for Marrakech, taxis were booked at late notice and Abdou even walked to find one of only 2 pharmacies in the Medina that was open on a public holiday!). The riad is very homely and the rooms are beautifully clean. Breakfast on the terrace was a real highlight and this is also a lovely place for a drink in the evening. We will definitely be returning!

Riad Djebel can be found in a secluded alleyway that's tucked into a residential corner of the Marrakech medina. For those who want to be nearby the bustle of Jemaa el-Fnaa and the souks (as in, ~7-10 minute walk) but also enjoy the peace and quiet of a neighborhood, this riad is for you. That said, most of the medina is within walking distance, including museums and major historical sites, as well as restaurants. The riad itself has an impressive but homey architecture on the inside, with several floors of rooms and a terrace where breakfast is served and where guests can lounge during the day and night. The room we stayed in was modest, but clean, simple and everything we needed for a couple days and nights in the city. We strongly recommend the riad over the westernized hotel if looking for a more authentic and traditional Moroccan lodging experience. Finally, the staff were warm and welcoming from start to finish...an absolute highlight of our stay at Djebel. Special thank you to Abdul for getting us settled in and then seeing us off! We had an amazing stay! -Pat and Stef
